Really thoughtless use of the word imminent though. He must have known that by using that word fans would understandably be thinking it was done bar the ink drying on the signature.

Of course. It’s not like we appointing f***ing Hitler. So you think everybody should have got behind Beale? If we appoint Shearer as Manager should everybody get behind him?
The main issue with Beale was the horrendous references he came with, and multiple well documented examples of falling out with players and staff.Of course. It’s not like we appointing f***ing Hitler.
The immediate reaction to Beale and his treatment by SAFC supporters was disgraceful. His accent, his appearance, everything was fair game. It was pathetic.
And as it turns out we’d have been far better off him staying for the rest of the season. The vocal ‘supporters’ are as much to blame for last season as any decision KLD or Speakman made

I agree, it was a hasty word for him to use, would have been much better if he just said he’s hope to appoint a head coach soon instead of using the word ‘imminently’.Really thoughtless use of the word imminent though. You can't argue with any of that.Of course. It’s not like we appointing f***ing Hitler.

Lots of clubs don't get their first choice. Do you think Bayern's was Kompany?I wouldn't mind him coming in, but it's definitely clear that he wasn't their first choice.
Which is exactly why Heckingbottom will not get the job.Heckingbottom is the backup plan if Rosenior goes to Burnley
Can't wait to see the direct debit cancellations if we end up with Heckingbottom.
A man who has been out of work since 2nd December who could have been hired day after sacking Beale.
Scraping through the bottom of the barrel
Sad times ahead
Agreed about the treatment of Beale. I was as guilty as anyone as well. Pathetic tbhOf course. It’s not like we appointing f***ing Hitler.

Did the fans reaction help the situation?Fans fault klaxon sounded.
This 100%I’d like Rosenior but no way would I be waiting for Burnley to make their minds up on him before we make our move
Goes back to the still saga comes a time when he either wants to manage us it he doesn’t
If he wants to wait for them fine but we need to move on
You get the impression they just casually drifting through it all with no urgency it’s ridiculous

I think the days of managers queuing up to join us are well and truly over, and from the outside looking in it really does look like we are failing to showcase the club in a good light. Head coaches/Managers want stability and control, two things this ownership can't or won't offer IMO...I'd be happy enough with him after missing out on our main target. As others have said it's the fact it is still dragging on after an eternity it seems. The fact that we have not persuaded our main targets to sign. I was pretty calm and said on here i was just waiting for June 1st as thought that must have been the stumbling block. Still decided on Lens and we are now on the 12th June and IF he is now their choice we STILL haven't convinced him to actually sign a contract. That indicates differences that need ironed out.
Dan Neil and Rigg won't commit (It looks like) from we think is until a new manager is confirmed. Who can blame them. Missing out on your main target isn't always the worst thing, but we seem to miss out on our main transfer targets and end up with a inferior player these last few windows. Managers and players should be jumping at the chance to sign for a club our size (Unless offered mega money elsewhere) but we just don't seem to be able to attract them at the minute which is my biggest concern. KLD said they have all learnt on and off the pitch from last seasons mistakes, but i am wondering what them lessons learnt were ATM as it seems to be carrying on the same direction. We can only judge after the new man is in and all transfer dealings in and out are concluded but alarm bells are starting to ring for me
Oh boy! Your cranium isn't exactly stuffed with little grey cells is it?Now this is a man whose comments I can get behind. Murtsys.
He’s only still in a job as the owner has lost all interest. What an absolute festival of incompetence this is.
Seriously - after the last three transfer windows, the sacking of Mowbray, the appointment of Beale, the appointment of Dodds, and now this - how the f*** is Speakman still in a job?! It’s incredible.
