Liam Rosenior

He's 50 games into his managerial career. He might turn out to be a disaster. However, he hasn't had enough games to fail yet. Most on here get bleary eyed over a manager that had almost 1000 games under his belt and 900 of those were at the level, or below, where we are now.
Aye it's weird tbh. Theres talk of showing ambition then we're using Mowbray as a bench mark. Is it one promotion out of this division in 34636 seasons?

I agree. The impatience for a new HC on here has been embarrassing, but I was only happy to wait if they eventually 'got their man'. He may not be terrible, but it's very clear he's not their man and is yet another uninspiring, out of work, cheap option and, sadly, I think it speaks volumes about the ambition of the owner and indicates that we are likely to be disappointed with the summer of recruitment we have ahead of us. :-(
Oh well if we think this appointment has been a debacle, I suspect we ain't seen nothing yet.
I've lost all faith in Speakman as you can probably guess.

What's frustrating is that the club have demonstrated in the past that they can make the right appointment; while I wasn't blown away with Mobrays appointment, it made sense; a manager with a track record in the Championship and one who loved working with and mentoring younger players.

What we see now is a scattergun approach where they're going for anyone who is affordable (for that read 'bargain bin) and prepared to work within the tight constraints of their operating model

They got lucky with Mowbray. He was out of work at the time. They have no
ambition of appointing the right manager for the job they just want the cheapest option available to them at the time

Don’t think Dodds will be assistant but after the appointment of Beale Speakman was asked about coach (assistants etc) appointments and he said he has to speak to head coach candidates to see if they can have a ‘synergy’ and can work together so wouldn’t expect many staffing changes.

Aye, because they thought they were getting Jansen and jumped the gun so have had to go back to drawing board again.

Correct

Interesting reading the Hull owners reasons for sacking him, citing his conservative style. Does state that he still thinks he’ll be a top coach though

They are surely trying to get the best man. Unfortunately the best men can see exactly what we're like and don't want to be a part of it.

We clearly haven't got our top targets and thats frustrating and I think that frustration in some is making the criticism of Rosenior very very harsh.

I'm on the fence about him but there's no way he's as bad as some on here are making out.
I don't think he's particularly poor, but nor does he seem like a coach that will get us promoted. It's incredibly unambitous and his appointmant would be the same as saying, we're not going for promotion anymore. I would imagine that's why some people are unhappy, that's why I don't want him anyway. It's KLD that's the problem not Rosenior though.

Hardly going to say he's sh"te haha. To be fair, Rosenior is very articulate the way he presents himself and he's a crowd favourite at Hull because of his playing time there and his Nanna is from there (as the chant goes)! Out of the candidates linked, give me Rosenior over the likes of Lampard, John Terry and Still any day.

There would seem little sense in going for someone unaffordable and unprepared to work within the tight constraints of their operating model.

I get that but someone like Maric would be seen as ambitious and he's got zero pedigree. It doesn't make sense really
