Liam Rosenior

Quote from Dodds on 20th March:

“The last conversation I had, and this was prior to the last couple of games, was that they had shortlisted a number of potential candidates and that they were going to take their time in speaking to those people. They want to make sure they get the next appointment right and they don't want to rush that decision.
If they feel like they've got the right candidate tomorrow, then they will be in the day after tomorrow. Obviously. If they don't, then they will wait. That was the message I was given a few weeks back and I've not been told that anything has changed. If anything changes then they will communicate that with me. We've got some big games coming up because we need to change the feeling of the football club, and we know that the best way to do that is to win games of football.“

Rosenior would not have been given a second thought back then.
if that statement was made on the 20th March and he said a few weeks prior to that(fwe weeks usually means more than two)so i would guess at march 1st .so i think they have had enough time don't you?and in no way are the rushing!

Most of it isn’t really directed “at” Rosenior as such, more that people are worried the club are winging it.

I’m warning to Rosenior, however wouldn’t be happy if we get him over the line to discover Dodds is assistant head coach. I’m sure he won’t be, Mowbray had Venus but it’s just coming from a lack of trust with the club from many supporters at the minute.

It doesn’t feel like the club are doing all they can to at least try and build a promotion winning team/squad & set up.

Let’s hope they prove many wrong this summer and that they actually have learned from the mistakes of the previous 12 months. Time will tell I suppose. I’m waiting to see what happens over the coming month or two… they have to get it right this time though. They’re out of credit with so many fans
Decent post. They are winging it imo. Blaggers and bullshitters always get found out. That’s what we are seeing here. To take this long to settle on a bloke who has only just lost his job just reeks of desperation/lack of a clear plan. Bloke doesn’t play in the style of “the whole club ethos” for starters and lost his job for playing boring football. Doesn’t exactly get the pulse racing. On paper though and from the outside looking in it looks like a solid appointment. Unlike Beale there is at least something that the fans can buy into.

If it's Rosenior I'll be very, very underwhelmed.

It'll be a case of 'we didn't get our first choice, or our second, possibly even our third because we refused to be flexible in terms of the model, so we went for the candidate that said fine, I'm OK with what you're doing because I'm out of work'

I've always tried to be supportive of what the club are trying to do, but I'm increasingly struggling to get behind what seems like either incompetence, stubbornness or possibly both.

Let's be honest, Rosenior is at least 4th choice after Still, Maric and Jansen. That's the ones we know about. There's probably more we don't making him the default appointment and not the carefully considered appointment Speakman would have us believe.
He's been available since May 7th
I agree. The impatience for a new HC on here has been embarrassing, but I was only happy to wait if they eventually 'got their man'. He may not be terrible, but it's very clear he's not their man and is yet another uninspiring, out of work, cheap option and, sadly, I think it speaks volumes about the ambition of the owner and indicates that we are likely to be disappointed with the summer of recruitment we have ahead of us. :-(

The failed and yes man nonsense from some is way ott
He's 50 games into his managerial career. He might turn out to be a disaster. However, he hasn't had enough games to fail yet. Most on here get bleary eyed over a manager that had almost 1000 games under his belt and 900 of those were at the level, or below, where we are now.
