They never said it was imminentWe have to be. Unless imminent in Swiss is different to imminent in Mackem.
I have had no confirmation from our leader on thos appointment so neither happy or unhappy. So just to confirm, are we now all pretending to be happy it’s Rosenior?
if that statement was made on the 20th March and he said a few weeks prior to that(fwe weeks usually means more than two)so i would guess at march 1st .so i think they have had enough time don't you?and in no way are the rushing!Quote from Dodds on 20th March:
“The last conversation I had, and this was prior to the last couple of games, was that they had shortlisted a number of potential candidates and that they were going to take their time in speaking to those people. They want to make sure they get the next appointment right and they don't want to rush that decision.
If they feel like they've got the right candidate tomorrow, then they will be in the day after tomorrow. Obviously. If they don't, then they will wait. That was the message I was given a few weeks back and I've not been told that anything has changed. If anything changes then they will communicate that with me. We've got some big games coming up because we need to change the feeling of the football club, and we know that the best way to do that is to win games of football.“
Rosenior would not have been given a second thought back then.
HopefullyAnnounced today I reckon. Imminent.
We know that a post of absolutely no value is 'imminent' from you, and in your head you know you are making a post of absolutely no value 'imminently'What's the difference between imminent and imminently?
Decent post. They are winging it imo. Blaggers and bullshitters always get found out. That’s what we are seeing here. To take this long to settle on a bloke who has only just lost his job just reeks of desperation/lack of a clear plan. Bloke doesn’t play in the style of “the whole club ethos” for starters and lost his job for playing boring football. Doesn’t exactly get the pulse racing. On paper though and from the outside looking in it looks like a solid appointment. Unlike Beale there is at least something that the fans can buy into. Most of it isn’t really directed “at” Rosenior as such, more that people are worried the club are winging it.
I’m warning to Rosenior, however wouldn’t be happy if we get him over the line to discover Dodds is assistant head coach. I’m sure he won’t be, Mowbray had Venus but it’s just coming from a lack of trust with the club from many supporters at the minute.
It doesn’t feel like the club are doing all they can to at least try and build a promotion winning team/squad & set up.
Let’s hope they prove many wrong this summer and that they actually have learned from the mistakes of the previous 12 months. Time will tell I suppose. I’m waiting to see what happens over the coming month or two… they have to get it right this time though. They’re out of credit with so many fans
I'm warming to the idea, marra. Must mean I wave my Pom poms while apologising for the club appointing a failed yes man.Hopefully
The failed and yes man nonsense from some is way ottI'm warming to the idea, marra. Must mean I wave my Pom poms while apologising for the club appointing a failed yes man
No you've taken it that way. Don't blame me for that.
Classic Rocky bantz would have been telling you to fk off but we're not allowed to do that anymore so a very civilised agree to disagree is the best way to move forward.
I agree. The impatience for a new HC on here has been embarrassing, but I was only happy to wait if they eventually 'got their man'. He may not be terrible, but it's very clear he's not their man and is yet another uninspiring, out of work, cheap option and, sadly, I think it speaks volumes about the ambition of the owner and indicates that we are likely to be disappointed with the summer of recruitment we have ahead of us. :-(Let's be honest, Rosenior is at least 4th choice after Still, Maric and Jansen. That's the ones we know about. There's probably more we don't making him the default appointment and not the carefully considered appointment Speakman would have us believe.
He's been available since May 7th![]()
Given we have a horrendous home record playing like that under DoddsLoads of Hull fans on twitter yesterday were saying expect to have the ball in our own half for long spells just passing sideways and how Rosenior struggles to break teams down at home. Not a great endorsement from them.
Need to practice your happy dance Vauxie..I have had no confirmation from our leader on thos appointment so neither happy or unhappy.
He's 50 games into his managerial career. He might turn out to be a disaster. However, he hasn't had enough games to fail yet. Most on here get bleary eyed over a manager that had almost 1000 games under his belt and 900 of those were at the level, or below, where we are now.The failed and yes man nonsense from some is way ott
I’m not happy about the appointment but will be relieved that the circus will be over.
Absolute clowns we have running this club.
I think they misheard KLD when he was dictating the message. It should have read “We hope to appoint a head coach eventually”What's the difference between imminent and imminently?
