Lets All Laugh At Newcastle (Again!)

There so called star players couldnt be arsed to perform in the premiership, cant see them upping there game in the championship, every team will out to cause an upset.

It doesn't matter what anyone on here thinks. We live in the real world.* Only on Tyneside could a relegation season be presented as s triumph and a rehearsal for the Champions League. In their collective consciousness they will be 15 points clear at Christmas even if in reality they have just lost 2-0 at Barnsley and Ivsn Toney is leading their attack.

*ok most of us do

Unfortunately, I also expect they'll come straight back up. I don't see Ashley having a fire sale, they'll lost some players who won't want to play down there, but seeing teams like Hull and Burnley come straight back up, you have to imagine they will too.

Hope not though.

If it was that simple, the three relegated sides would all get promoted the next season, every year, but it doesn't work out like that. They are favourites to go straight back up, but things can and do go wrong in situations like this (here's hoping! )

I'd love for them to fall so far down the pyramid that we begin to feel sorry for them and cheer them on in an FA Trophy final.

But I think they'll walk that league sadly

From the Bernabeu to Burton is going to be quite a culture shock for Rafa Beneathus, can he adapt to the championship? If he fails to have them top of the league by Christmas how long before the fans start to turn against him?

Of course they will bounce back. They have a world class manager with an unblemished record in the Championship. The owner will shell out millions of pounds to back his new manager in the transfer market. All the old ne'er do wells will be sent on their bikes by the ruthless new man and the sqwad will be replenished with young, hungry mercenaries fully committed to the Toon Army.
What could possibly go wrong?
Answers on a postcard to Lee Charnley.
