How is this all going to be financially sustainable?

Keeping the £80 million squad who are on massive wages
Keeping Rafa on a huge wage
Giving him a big transfer budget?

It seems the club is taking a massive, massive gamble to take them back up. If they fail on the first attempt, the fiscal consequences will be enormous.

It will be like a gadgie getting finished off the rigs, he can easy afford the repayments for the flash car, the huge mortgage on his detached house and the private tuition for his brats while he's grafting off shore. Despite earning a f***ing fortune for years, if he can't get another high paying off shore gig before his parachute payments err I mean redundancy and savings are gone then he's fucked.

He's got no absolutely no chance of earning that sort of coin elsewhere, so he'll have no option but to sell everything as fast and cheap as possible to stop himself going under. That job in the championship/Aldi ain't going to put a dint in his outgoings unless he downsizes everything massively.

They won't be able to keep their lifestyle up for very long and they know that, they're f***ing shitting themselves. it's the reason for this insane deluded optimism. The concequences of it not working could be catastrophic and they don't want to think about it.

It's happened to others, we've all seen it. They're not too big to fail :D

Remember this squad they have that cost a fortune and are on high wages we (oops i mean) were relegated, this shows they are shite ..keeping the status quo their chances of promotion are at best 50/50 ... lose a few games and the fans will be right on their case bedsheets and everything ...they are in the clarts and no mistake .

Spot on !

No it's Rafael,do you refer to the manager of Bournemouth as Eddie?I prefer Ted.
Under the logic used for Benitez, any non Bournemouth fan has to call him Edward, and any non SAFC fan must call our boss Samual. And what about Sir Alexander Ferguson?

Every single team will be bang up for it against them too. They don't appear to be very well liked in any division.

Just as they were the last time they were relegated. They will have no problems getting out of that league. They are on a very sound financial footing, they could retain all of their players providing the players wish to stay. If they do leave, they have the money to replace them. With Benitez in charge, they won't have any problems attracting decent players either.

I saw Boro a few times last season and they looked shocking for a promoted side. Then you look at Burnley and Hull who have gained promotion, two very average sides.
The mags will win the league, followed by either Norwich or Villa.

True but Sam is short for Samantha.

13 Championship clubs formally of the Premier League tells me it may not be that clean cut. Most will have had aspirations to come straight back up.

If he stays they will be without Mitrovitch for the first 3 games, I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing mind
I think he'll be a very good striker in that league. If I'm totally honest (tin hat on) I wouldn't mind us signing him, gives us an option off the bench to go two up top and Defoe might be able to teach him how to finish.

I have noticed that there a a few people complaining about this thread, and the fact that most of us, and it is most of us, are enjoying laughing at that lot.

Why would anyone be bothered? There is a world away from here, and a board that has loads of other topics. It's no good complaining that most people like something. It is like some loathsome politician saying they must "stamp out . populism."!

Plenty of time left to laugh at the daft feckers up there . Keep them coming!
