Lets All Laugh At Newcastle (Again!)

IMO Benitez has taken the easy option with the mags, simply because he's hasn't been offered another half decent job. There's a good reason for that, his record over the past few seasons is poor.

He's now working a 3 hour drive away from his family and is being very handsomely rewarded.

Managerial luminaries such as Mick McCarthey and Roy Keane have quite easily got us promoted from the Championship. In the grand scheme of things it's a nothing achievement.

Benitez's problems will come when the mags are promoted and are playing catch up against far better teams, players and managers. He will revert to type, play defensive, mainly losing football and the loyal toon army will reap what they have sown. Then the abuse will start.

It will make for canny watching :)

I can tell you from behind enemy lines that even the most reasonable, level headed, pragmatic and moderate mag is utterly convinced that all will be well under Raffa. He truly is their messiah. He can do no wrong. It's 'Raffa' this and 'Raffa' that all over the place. They are utterly pinning every last hope on him. It's all that's keeping them going after relegation.

If this doesn't work out I will literally cry with laughter
The higher you climb the harder you fall, and I for one can't wait to watch it

Has any of our experts made a montage of the mags meltdoon and relegation,i would love to see a collection of pics from the past few weeks with a nice song as accompaniment ,maybe ...

You're right about getting promotion. We have had it loads of course, and it takes good organisation, hard work and staying power. Benitez will provide all of that, but he will also need to change the habit of a lifetime and go on the front foot more because most teams will stand off that lot when they come to town. We have had loads of that as well.

The mags at work are now retorting with "You'll never see a Mackem in Milan."

.. long time since the mags have played there. ls there anyone actually still playing who was in there team when they did? .. a bit of nostalgia from the mags, how quaint..

History is all they've got now and what they are~ their problem is that when it comes to history, we win hands down.

It's not only very funny, it's a historical event.

Eclipses and comets are talked about for weeks but are much more common.

Newcastle had their owner promising, on TV, trophies & Champions League, appointed a ex-international manager and spent a fortune.

This was going to be 'their season' and instead they were shite all season and were relegated.

That's not true

They had a good period in part of one Saturday afternoon in October, when they absolutely trounced the team that finished below them

is he a proper one though?
but of course there have been plenty mackems in Milan which they are in denial of

I've been twice

It's f*cking sh*te
