Lets All Laugh At Newcastle (Again!)

What I do find weird is the delusion. If I had just been relegated I'd be gutted. But they seem delighted as Rafa might stay. Stranger still are the mags who come on here.
They've been so busy playing, pin the blame on the donkey, they've lost sight of what the were moaning about in the first place, the outcome, Little fat Mike is still in control.. and if Raffa fucks up, who will they blame then, will they turn on fatty again?

Marvellous...hold the back page. Newcastle get reprieve and are no longer relegated :lol::lol:
A new book eh! I bet that's a fascinating read.

They like him because he had an anomalous bit of success in Europe. Same as McClaren.

And like McClaren, he has been an abject failure ever since. Inter fans hate him. Chelsea fans despised him. He destroyed a promising Napoli, barely lasted half a season at Real.

You think he's your ticket to European glory. You think it's where you belong. But like Rafa, you are clinging to a very brief period in the distant history, and are doing so to mask you embarrassment at your pitiful present day reality.

You forced your chairman to lose a succession of effective managers. Then, though your creepy adulation of absolute pisstakers like Ben Arfa, you forced your chairmen to buy a load of flair players and ignore your possession of the league's worst defence. You did all that because you think it's your right. That you are still "entertainers", despite the fact that it's as credible as Steffi Graf still claiming to be world's best female tennis player.

Here's the uncomfortable truth. You're an unglamorous small club who haven't won a single domestic honour since a the 10th anniversary of Hitler's death. You play your home games in a giant Sports Direct mug, pock marked by a ballooning number of empty grey seats. Your delusions of grandeur have relegated you - again. And what do you do? You clamour after yet another ineffectual show pony as your messiah. You twist reality until you can tell yourself that this relegation actually makes you a growing force in world football, when you think about it.

Your ambition should be to get Phil Brown in. That's your level. Local lad, knows your league. Sign Richard Keogh. An honest pro. Cheap. A battler. Maybe loan Danny Graham from us. We'll cut you a deal, we know you're skint. Aim for the play offs. You won't get there, but having an achievable target might stop the rot.

2017/18 will be tough, what with the relegated clubs' £100m parachute payments. But hold firm. By 2020/21 you've got a winning formula. Siem De Jong is on fire! You're in the Play Off Final!

OK, so you lose against AFC Wimbledon, but it was a honour to play a part in their fairytale. And who needs the Premier League?! The Championship is real football, and Big Philly Brown is one of wuh.

Spav man

I have just read this . And spav , you should be ashamed of yourself, hang your head down low.

This is too accurate a deconstruction. It threatens the sanity and well being of those gentle souls who cleave so readily to the stellar name their monumental club has earned through these years of achievement. Go easy on them man, they are waiting for their Messiah.

MLF but says he is a Berwick fan to appease local sensibilities
jordi nashun hahahahahah

and they wonder why people across the country laugh at them.

I think the magedia have a lot to do with it in the NE hence all the positive spin of relegation. They are in denial.

Was talking to an older sunderland supporter last night who has never been on here but he said in his conversations with mags since last week you think it was them that stopped up and not us they are that full of themselves. He has been pointing out that PDC and Dick rescued Sunderland in similar positions to the spanish waiter which of course is true but every thing is Ashley and Mclarens fault.

A total of 47 clubs have played in the Premier League from its inception in 1992, up to and including the 2015–16 season.

That means that 27 clubs, who thought they were too good to be relegated and that they'd be straight back up are currently out of the prem.

Newcastle did it last time because they had a Championship squad, they only bought 6 players. They ditched Martins, Owen and the rest and they had an honest, hard working team left.

Now they have a bunch of overpaid, unmotivated players

You ain't coming back up and Rafa ain't signing.

From what I read Rafa has agreed a deal and given his terms, but NUFC wont put it in writing, so Rafa is stalling.

Every NUFC manager has been promised the earth under Ashley and the club has went back on it's word each time.

Oo err Rafa out then:lol:

Bring on the meltdown.
