LEGO builds for Adults

Where do people sell their old LEGO sets?

Was toying with doing a car-boot as the whole online selling fills me with dread.

Have literally hundreds of sets covering CITY, NINJAGO (including the feet massive ones; City Market and City Gardens), SPACE and others. All with boxes and instructions.

Mind, I’d have to go back through and rebuild everything just to make sure pieces are there.

With all the Road plates and everything built they covered over 200 sq ft of floor!!

Got nowhere to put it all now back in the UK so it’s still in the crates I shipped back to Shields.

I sold a load of Lego on Vinted. Had no problem with scammers whatsoever, the only problem I had was with some Minecraft Lego where the woman buying said her son told her there was loads missing. Took me a while to look up the instructions online and work out that the instructions had an alternative build at the back which meant taking part of it down and rebuilding it. Once I sent her the screenshots she was apologetic and payed straight away.

I was the same as you, had to build them up to check the pieces were all there, some I didn’t have the original boxes for but still sold well. If you have retired sets you might find you can sell them for more than you paid - I sold a Lego Avengers Tower for £90, about £20 more than original price. Similar for Ninjago, reason being the new sets are utter shite in comparison to the ones from 10 years ago. Use Brickmaster to check value of sets before you list.

I was wary before I started selling stuff because of previous problems with eBay, however I find Vinted relatively hassle free in comparison. I have made well over £1k whilst having a clearout of the kids’ old toys.

Has anyone seen the World Cup replica in the flesh, I am thinking about it as a gift for my eldest son , but it looks a bit underwhelming in the photographs.

Excellent info and thanks.

Have the packets, boxes (flat packed) and instructions for everything.

Having a bit of a pleasant afternoon now rebuilding and logging missing bits.

Cheers for the info.

Not really my thing, but the largest set to date has a bit of the wow factor...

Lego streetcar sold separately 😉.

The photos of the interior are something else too.

Just finished up the Trevi Fountain set and on putting in a lighting set for the first time. Canny build but the lighting is rather fiddly.
