I've just checked. Blacktron was out late 80s early 90s.

That set was 1994 - Unitron including -

That's a good return. Would you ever consider breaking a set up and sell it as spare parts or is that a no-no for collectors buying ? I would assume there are folks out there missing the odd piece for varies sets and you might get an even bigger return sold in parts ? Like the business men and women who buy up a company and sell it on in parts later. There must be a market out there for spare parts.

I have a garage full of spare partss . Parted out they are often worth more but I don't like doing it.

I really need to sell loads and loads as its become too much.. probably anywhere from £3-5k of it in the loft and a similar amount in the garage . Loft is good stuff mostly..

Wait for prices to flip good again abd sell some but always refreshing marketplace for a bargain to appear.

Aye. I remember I wanted that little red knacker's big robot thingy but I never got it. In the Lego brochure they were pictured attacking the monorail.

That is a good point with not liking to do it. I probably wouldn't like to either.

Few years ago I read somewhere about a lad who always bought two of the same sets, one to use or display and one for keep with mind on selling it on years down the line. It was like buying stocks and shares he said but less risky. He gave the impression that if you wait long enough and keep the boxes in crisp condition there would be plenty people out there willing to pay lots of dosh for them.

Loads of people do that.. it's the storage.. I'm on a few Facebook groups and loads do that. Some do far better than others
