Leeds jealousy

Tbh, I prefer them in the Premier League – proper club. I’ve always had a soft spot for Leeds. I used to go to boarding school in Boston Spa, just outside Leeds. Great fans, good people, no issues with them at all… BUT, like us, there’s always a small toxic bunch.

I just think it’s reflective of people from Leeds. Quite a large proportion of them seem to have an inflated idea of themselves and the city. Not a clue why.
The same could be said of Manchester but even more so. Leeds is a great City and l was fortunate to have worked there. The Leeds supporters were on the whole very like us. Passionate about their club and suffering being in the lower divisions

You've spelled 'well done lads on an excellent season' wrong.
Not at all. That’s pretty much what I posted on another thread and the spelling was perfect…
We'll still have more SCR wiggle room than they will even with Europe
I think the point being made was that SCR reduces from 80% to 70% for teams in Europe. Of course revenues will / should be higher but it also requires additional squad investment

It’s more about pointing the quirks out in the current system and which, in my opinion, is not particularly fair..

I enjoy the banter with other supporters and the banter on here. The tit for tat stuff is childish. Plenty of groups on Facebook where that goes on and you struggle to have a sensible conversation with anyone.

I'd they had played 3 at the back from day 1 they would be above us.

Just been hammered 3-0 by relegated West Ham .. playing 3 at the back.

So essentially you're saying when it all works out it will cost us a bit more but will ( if invested succesfully ) be a step change in our squad quality ?
Sounds alright that 👍🏻
Plus ,even if we choose to, one decent sale and its financed easily

There's been a number of them saying they are pleased they had the season they did and not ours because they're not ready for european football. The same set of fans who were desperate to win the FA Cup, which would have meant Europe...

And lets be honest, neither ourselves or Leeds are in a position to be picking and choosing when to qualify for Europe!

There's a bloke with a channel called 'Imagine Not Being Leeds', who occasionally does crossover stuff with Wayne from Only Fools and SAFC. He made a bit of rant of a video a week ago arguing that Farke should be manager of the year and that it's a disgrace that RLB even made the list, but Farke didn't 😄.

He also very confidently predicted that Leeds would finish above us at various points of the season, and that they would beat us home and away. I hope Wayne does a catch up with him now 😁

Absolutely f***ing seething that they aren’t the story of the season

They’re carbon copies of the Mags with their need for attention

This is it 100%.

They clearly had visions of them being the suprise package back in the PL and everyone waxing lyrical about the how the mighty Leeds were back.

Daft thing is, to a degree that have surpised most people as it looked like they were nailed on to go down for a while and Farke was a fanny hair away from being sacked, they turned it around and played some decent stuff doing it yet because they're not the story of the season a large section of their fans are bitter as fuck.

Living in West Yorkshire I find a lot of the Leeds fan arrogance is down to them not having any big rivalries nearby, therefore they live in a little goldfish bowl were all they hear is how amazing Leeds are etc.

They also seem to have forgot that they basically abandoned the club for a period pre Bielsa when they were only averaging low 20k

Leeds fans are always keen to forget that 18,000 of them abandoned the club for 15 years - including while challenging for the championship play offs under Warnock crowds struggling to reach 20,000.

In comparison we've never done that and had a far greater number of people back us in the third tier.

Their support is a myth.

I don’t disagree…you are just of the thinking that because I am Leeds fan I must be having a dig and must be jealous etc etc

I’m not. the issue is the quirk in the system which to me seems a little unfair on clubs who don’t already have squad sizes like Chelsea, City etc

But you’re ok with it so…

And so it begins…😔
