I think the differences in League One average crowds between us and Leeds say a lot about the hardcore support base, but overall achievement wise they have had a great 30 odd years. I would die a happy man if we had done what they have, same goes for Leicester.

Exactly mate. If I'd seen us win the league like Leicester did (or Leeds in 92) then I would die a happy man. I wouldn't give a fuck what happened after.

Ok. In my humble opinion the money tends to follow the bigger clubs. Take a list of the PL and Championship clubs and force rank them in terms of sponsorship / commercial revenues. I personally think that is a good barometer. Aside from a few clubs who we may argue are laundering money or flouting the sponsorship rules there are no real surprises in that list other than that Leeds are 15th despite not being in the PL for the period in question

I’m not saying SFC aren’t a big club, or they haven’t won more titles etc (btw you haven't if we look at post war history) - in fact, I didn’t even bring up about Leeds being a bigger club. You did that all on your own and this whole question seems to be something that only you are obsessed with.

The Leicester one was mad, real fairytale stuff! Think Leeds had only been promoted a year or two before as well hadn't they, although they were big spenders.

Christ, it's arguments like this that end up with people mentioning they've got an airport - I shit you not a mag on here once boasted that Newcastle had more Tomahawk steak houses (3v2) than we did...

The only real measure is success, and you only ever see fans of clubs without recent success arguing about "who's the biggest".

Clubs like Man Utd and Liverpool argue about "who's won the most".

I support my home town team and although I've lived longer outside of it than in it I couldn't ever support anyone else and I love SAFC.
Meanwhile there are supporters of other teams (randomly Aldershot) who could only dream of the success we and Leeds have had yet they support their team with just as much or more passion and fervour than I do mine.

I say this with the greatest of respect - Flush this turd lads, let the thread die.
