My great uncle died when I was very young so didn’t get to know him well. He wasn’t one to talk about it much, but then that seems to have been very common. My granddad was a fire fighter throughout the war in London. My Nana said he saw some awful things, every day. He never mentioned a word to us after that.

Oh God I know. FiL is a Leeds fan and I've tried to explain to him that I've heard it all before and it's easy to say you've got 15k or 20k waiting list when you top out at 38k, but history suggests you've never really needed anymore.

I quite like Hudderfield Town by the way. Not really comparable to us apart from playing in stripes.

Are people still reading posts from @Bielsas Bucket Boy He's a desperate man. I asked him about their biggest crowd ever. Ten thousand less than our post was record, seventeen thousand below our all time record. Their all time record was v Sunderland and the crowd was heavily dependent on the massive presence of Sunderland supporters. Their "waiting list" will take them to our capacity if every single person takes up the option - they won't.
 
Their "Marching on together" dirge does my napper in.

They sing the chorus then the song just fades into a mumble. I'm convinced their fans only know the chorus and nowt else.

I mean that's true but have you spoken to Leeds fans in real time? I had the misfortune of doing so a few month ago on holiday. Had to bite my tongue as there was more of them than just me but FFS, they do go on like they're Man U in 1996.

Not totally convinced this forum would hit the crying jealousy button if Leeds signed someone we were linked with. Mad as it can be on here

Even less so a poster from here spend their Saturday on a Leeds forum

Imagine the normals (if there are any) on the Leeds forum would be a bit embarrassed by this show today
 
Used to consider Leeds to be "the" orrible club but Notts Forest have slowly taken the mantle of being absolute rats in recent years.

6 league titles to their 3 history suggests otherwise …unless history is one persons lifetime ?
In that case in mine we beat them in 73 Fa cup final .
Both us and Leeds are historically big clubs .
