Bloody hell marra good memoryTuesday night game too iirc
That’s where we are headed.I would recommend the Miners Arms in Morley, 10 minute taxi ride to the ground and has a huge Car Park for those driving! Cheap beer and good homecooked food! The owners are really nice people and the bar staff can't do enough for the clientele.
Aye, despite being a grand old and iconic ground in a good city, its location is canny shit especially for drinking. We drank in the Drysalters and watched the late kickoff that day then jumped in a taxi back to the city centre once the roads had quieted down.
Remember when you had a stupid haircut …..Nee trap mate travelling down with daughter and a Sunderland lad through and through for over 40yrs , Ashington mackem
The 3-0 win we had under Keane down there went up in there….enjoyable in my younger daysHettonbot reckened the Peacock was a good shout
Never found a welcoming pub around the ground, I'd stop in Leeds City Centre personally
I’m in Howard’s now. No one else in mind
Beeston WMC went in 20 odd years ago was canny
Ring any bells ?Remember drinking in a club up a hill near the ground a couple of times.
Not really helpful though as I can’t remember where it was, what it was called and it was about 25 years ago so is probably a Tesco now
Imagine going to Rotherham and effectively not being able to drink in the town. It’s strange that away fans can drink in any boozers in Sunderland and Newcastle without bother as long as they behave themselves like, but can’t in Leeds.
I mean really it’s not that different a city.
Think it was a CIU club but it was over 20 years ago, most of the Durham bus went inRing any bells ?
