Leeds 28/12/25 thread

If you were the better team against Brighton thats impressive because we certainly were not.

Not sure football is that simple though. Leeds under Farke will play 5-3-2 and defend in depth when out of possesion 3-5-2 when in possesion.

Not really sure what team will be depends on fitness issues, but whoever plays will give 100% Farke still has the players loyalty.

Not sure if our previous away record has any bearing on this game as we were trying and failing to play a possesion based 4-3-3.

The only away game we have played with 5-3-2 is Brentford who have a similar home record to you and we were like you at Brighton
the better team but only drew.

Predicting football is a mugs game no one expected us to beat Palace 4-1 and we could easily get beat 4-1 at your place, but a scrappy draw or 1-0 win to either side would be my prediction with a derby like game, plenty of passion but not a deal of skill.
That’s it fella, got your sensible head back on.

Difficult game as any is in the prem. Leeds have looked good lately but fuck me judging by the few Leeds fans I work with you would think they have turned into prime Barca.

We are unbeaten at home and better teams than Leeds have struggled to break us down. Yes the AFCON lads missing makes it a slightly different prospect but I have it as a pretty even match. The bookies agree.

Actually one of the first times this season we’re seen as favourites. Think we might have been against wolves.

Not much in it like

Leeds are 19/20 in the away form table with DLLLL. We are 4/20 in the home form table with WWDDW…

Not too much to be scared of here. The Sunderland of old we would have said “here we go, typical Sunderland incoming”. Not now. Different beast
Our home xg is 2.25, dirty Leeds away xg is 0.5 if you beleive that stat

I do try to bring a bit of balance to the one sided views on here but sometimes fail and can't resist looking for a bite.

Trying to be fair I would say your good performances were.

Palace
Villa
Chelsea
Arsenal
Bornemouth
Newcastle
Liverpool
Brighton

Poor performances were.

Burnley
Fulham
Man City
Man Utd
Everton

Easy games were.

West Ham
Brentford
Forest
Wolves

Where I think you were a bit fortunate was having all the easy games early giving you the all important early self belief.

Would Leeds have done any better ? No I think we would have won the easy games, done the same as you in the poor games but not as well in the good games, we are probably on the number of points we should be as are you.

Most Leeds fans would take a point now against you we are just hoping to stay out of the bottom 3 until January when we hope to finish what we did not do in the summer window and buy a striker and right winger probably by selling Piroe.

You are I believe looking for the same although hopefully this time you will have your own targets and not pinch ours.

If we both stay up we will be entering the brave new world of SCR where our revenues of around £250m will be dwarfed by the £500 to £750m revenues of the big six.

The money generated from profit on player sales can be added to revenue but this can be a dangerous game to play when it fails and punishment kicks in for being over the 85% cap, far better to raise revenue and under SCR any incoming transfer fees will be spread over three years which is an important change.

Leeds being a one club city with a West Yorkshire catchment area of around 2 million think we might be able to grow our revenue to around £500m even without European football. I am not sure Sunderland a city of 300k living in Newcastles shadow can do the same, but knowing you lot you will have a good go.

There’s a good reason why youve had a 36000 capacity stadium for so long

Newcastle have been in Sunderland's shadow all season ever since we were promoted this season. No reason why it cannot continue. Yet another Leeds supporter not getting facts correct.
