Leeds 28/12/25 thread

1-0 or 1-1 I reckon. Not a game for the purists and think we’ll hope to make it a more ‘agricultural’ type of game. A draw would feel like a point gained although pre-season this is the sort of game we would have had to win

We don't really bang balls into the box its more about going long from the back if pressed rather than trying to play out and picking the second ball up, does not really matter whether DCL wins the header as long as he puts pressure on the centre half heading the ball.

Formation will be 5-3-2 but it's a lot more attacking than it sounds with Rodon and Struijk both pushing up, Bijol will just sit back and mark your centre forward, he is not the quickist but loves a physical battle.

4-3-3 and playing out from the back was not working for us DCL was too isolated Brentford away was our first test of the new system and we did okay, tomorrow will be another big test.
 
Looking towards the Leeds game, wouldn't it be nice to round off 2025 with a good result? It would be fantastic and would be the perfect finish to an amazing year, will be a tough game though. Not overly confident but to be fair I never am 🫣🤞

On clear cut chances probably should have been 3-3 which is where we are both lacking.

We played better when we went back to 4-3-3 so not sure what we do at Anfield.

Would have been a fairer test if you had all your AFCON players playing but you do overstate it a bit.

Ballards replacement is highly rated by you guys and cost £12m.
Hume often plays if you play five at the back.

Your two replacement guys in midfield are two £20m pound buys.
The reserve winger who scored cost £20m as did your striker, both our strikers were free transfers and Tanaka and Gnonto who came cost £3m and £5m.

Hope we both stay up the PL is better with both of us in it. Neither of us yet have any tourist fans.

Tough next 3 games for Leeds u will struggle to get a point tbh, could go down to last game of season for u, we’re as think we be mathematically safe with 10 games to go 😎

Strangely, he's living up to his username.....

He disappeared after posting " See you at Elland Road 😃.... " back in February.

Shame, I wanted to thank him for the 4 points and laugh at him for his team losing today 😛😜
