Names don't necessarily work, fans favourites rarely do. What we need is a root and branch overhaul of the playing side. People to come in and change the whole structure of the organisation from top to bottom. If its Johnson, then so be it. He took over a struggling Bristol City side and transformed them into a well oiled championship cog.

Further more if gains promotion, stabilises us in the championship, with attributes relevant to our side, area, we eventually lose that tag of manager merry go round. The next thing, would, in an ideal scenario, push on some more.
We won’t finish higher than 12th.

Oh yes, he is. You'll find some Bristol City fans who'll defend him, arguing he stabilised the team. But I don't think we'd be happy with four seasons of consolidation without even reaching the play-offs once. As well as being rather arrogant and very mediocre he is the streakiest manager I've ever come across. He'll win five in a row and just when you think you've misjudged him he won't win for twelve matches. I presume you've seen the mentions of his eight match losing run while at Bristol City Well at least that's a club record we can look forward to.
Someone posted a thread on Sunday "could we possibly appoint someone worse than Parkinson?" It looks like that's just what we're about to do.
Aye, we’ll see. Did you ever watch us under that clown Parkinson? The football was f***ing embarrassing. Give me Johnson over that horrible bloke and manager PP any day.

The articles are very positive - specifically around his coaching.

The article this morning was a puff piece. A bit like the North Korean press applauding their glorious leader for shooting 30 under par on Pyongyang golf course.

I don't even want a "big name"

I really hoped we might take a gamble of a progressive young coach, yet we just appoint a mediocre journeyman manager who has failed at as many clubs as he has succeeded.

Whats the point man? Its another appointment to try and scrape promotion
