Lee Johnson

It's a tricky business isn't it. The perception on the outside is that he moved the club forwards. The perception of Cotterill is not that great. He prob made a career mistake getting involved here with Sgt.Wilko. If a manager leaves when his stock is high, he is a traitor or everyone is at least devastated. If he stays long enough to endure inevitable troughs, unless you have multi millions, he becomes an overall failure despite his triumphs. Not saying it will happen, but at some point there will be Wolves fans unhappy if they aren't top 6 or 7 at some point and have a drop to something like 12th/13th. Burnley fans were moaning a few years ago about Dyche !!! Expectancy levels don't often mirror reality with supporters. I think Johnson will be remembered in a positive light eventually. You are a stabilized Championship club it would appear. Something he has played a major role in.

After we beat them in the League Cup, they were complaining about him last year!!!

Obviously we as fans know nothing but remember when they appointed Parky he was the least popular and we were proven right. Johnson is again the least popular by a long margin (except Campbell) out of all those linked. Do you think they know the fans opinions? Do you think they don't care? Do you think they know better despite now delivering our worst performances in our 141 year history?

The least popular of all the rumoured candidates seems to be the one getting appointed again. Disgusting.

Is he really as bad as some are making out?

Oh yes, he is. You'll find some Bristol City fans who'll defend him, arguing he stabilised the team. But I don't think we'd be happy with four seasons of consolidation without even reaching the play-offs once. As well as being rather arrogant and very mediocre he is the streakiest manager I've ever come across. He'll win five in a row and just when you think you've misjudged him he won't win for twelve matches. I presume you've seen the mentions of his eight match losing run while at Bristol City Well at least that's a club record we can look forward to.
Someone posted a thread on Sunday "could we possibly appoint someone worse than Parkinson?" It looks like that's just what we're about to do.

Not the one I wanted but if it is him well just have to get behind the fella
As I said earlier assuming he doesn't get us promotion I won't renew my season ticket because I sick to the back teeth of putting money into a club run by people with no competence. I have had a season ticket since 1990 but I just can't put up the mediocrity that we are being lumbered with. Its time for me to have a rest.

Names don't necessarily work, fans favourites rarely do. What we need is a root and branch overhaul of the playing side. People to come in and change the whole structure of the organisation from top to bottom. If its Johnson, then so be it. He took over a struggling Bristol City side and transformed them into a well oiled championship cog.

Further more if gains promotion, stabilises us in the championship, with attributes relevant to our side, area, we eventually lose that tag of manager merry go round. The next thing, would, in an ideal scenario, push on some more.

And the ITKs on here said it was the "new owners" who were appointing new manager, even when one of the "new owners" is already a f***ing owner here.

It’s a ‘we are happy to be midtable league one for the next decade’ appointment. Terrible.

I bet you tried to spin the Parkinson appointment too

The fact most fans don’t want him before he’s even arrived makes it a bad appointment to start with. His reputation/record has fans sceptical. We need a manager most fans can get behind straight away. That’s not the case here.
