Lee Johnson - potential replacements

So the fans aren’t backing them enough to play well ? His continuity is making us regress as a team you want that just going on ?

in numbers yes, but the fact this thread is actually discussing a replacement manager whilst the current one is trying his best for Safc suggests we’re not unified in the common cause.
It’s no different to previous situations with Jack Ross, we could end up in a more regressive state for simply having change

If we lose tomorrow... then something has to change, no? Or just keep losing ?

By nature managers are not in jobs long but I’m worried the recent record of manager turnover will continue to harm the club. We’ve been doing it all the way back to Steve Bruce era……..and we’ve went steadily backwards. If it was a “magic bullet” we wouldn’t find overselves in the 3rd tier by incessantly following that dogma

The trick is not to fire a failing manager (that's easy) but to find a better replacement (not so easy).

If we buy into 'the project' - long term vision, detailed data analysis, alternative scenarios lined up... etc... then Speakman and KLD already have alternatives - that's their job. In which case the question is ...when? How bad does it have to get?

Well seeing as there’s a financial implication to firing a manager……..it may be an indication of the “state of the club” if we don’t. Bearing in mind the austere signings in the summer tell their own story, I wouldn’t be surprised if they weren’t forthcoming with a new manager

If we lose tomorrow then their vision may become clearer to us all.

So when would you change if this continues ?

We will know that by 6 oclock tonight...if he is out then he is out. If he still in.........................

Warnock
Keane
Steve Bould
Cattermole
Zenden
Liam Manning
You might as well have added Bernard Manning!
Next 4 games will determine our ability to finish in the top two. Lowly Cambridge away on Saturday and then three home matches in a week Dec 4-11th including Plymouth who have shown they’re not infallible of late.

With KLD’s family business operating at an elite level and the people he has involved from it at SAFC they will surely be weighing up options to Johnson in the light of recent results and performances allied to his negative media outpourings blaming everyone but himself. His analysis of Ross Stewart after Shrewsbury was disgraceful and should never have been uttered in the public arena-so many veiled and not so veiled criticisms.

We are at a real crossroads right now.
Either that or he is being straight with the press and fans

Trying his best clearly wasn’t good enough
