So afaik Speakman has never said that. And it would contradict what every manager who has worked under the new regime has said, as well as what Speakman- has said himself.

Speakman has described the decision making process as an 'absolute collaboration'- between himself le bris and others- but then in the same Interview also went on to say that 'as sporting director you are accountable for all of these things". Which is of course a contradiction. The only reasonable conclusion is that the decision making process is a collaboration, and Speakman makes the final decision. Which is my original point.

Accountable and responsible are 2 different things
As sporting director he is accountable for all the signings that doesn’t mean he is responsible for the decision to make a signing or not

Why would he be accountable for a decision he didn't make?
Final decision doesn't mean he is involved in all levels of decision making. Just the last bit.

he wrote all aspects of the club off ( players, coaches and owners , directors etc ) before a ball was kicked and steadfastly refuses to admit he was utterly wrong and worse claims that those who pull him up on words have no right to do so and that he was entitled to his opinion and woe betide those who disagree or remind him of his stupidity and mendacity.
he is lowest of low, someone unable to admit error, show remorse ...be a man. his response is that of the lowliest of lowlifes, who slopes off when the heat is turned up and hides behind misinterpreted words and other tricks of the trade of those who excel at being incapable of of shown to be spineless crybabies.
