Latest boxing crack

I think that puts this silly nonsense that Usyk is one of the greatest of all time to bed. He's just came along at the perfect time when all the other top heavies were past their best and had issues ranging from drugs to mental health.

He was behind on the scorecards against Bellew when he got the KO. Chisora was robbed against him by the judges. Dubois KO'd him but the judge saved him and given him 10 minutes to recover.

Now he's been found out in an exhibition fight against a boxing novice.

Hopefully he has one more fight and buggers off as I can't stand his boring style where he does just enough to win rounds in the judges eyes, by using cynical tactics like end of round flurries that technically score but do no damage. Only his personality is more boring than his fighting style, almost as boring as the Klitschko's...

The bandwagon fanboys of his are insufferable and are off licking their wounds unable to process what just happened to the "greatest p4p ever".
At least he is a decent human being , certainly in comparison to the disgraceful fury clan

here we go ffs 🙄
"Hi, my name is John Usyk (can't even remember (and don't want to remember) his first name) and I just got caught flush, I better throw a flurry of ineffective showy punches to put doubt in the judges minds that I lost the round! Oh look 5 seconds left in this round I definitely lost, better throw another flurry of ineffective glancing punches, of which most hit my opponents guard, but it will again cast doubt in the judges minds when they score the round!"

Proper amateur boxing tactics, I did it myself on occasion.
Absolutely steaming this fucker

He’s beat fury,Joshua and Dubois 2 times each,but aye shite tho…🤦🏻‍♂️😀😂

Lifelong boxing fan - hardly allow a bad word about it.

But that was clearly dodgy as fuck. No other rational explanation.

Scorecards? Oh f***ing yes. Stoppage. Pathetic. Weren’t going to let the lad have a fair crack unless he sparked him dead.
Why a don't really watch boxing, what's the point when the underdogs not allowed to win.

He's totally overrated as we saw tonight. Glad he got found out, let's see who he fights next, guarantee he'll pick another shot to bits fighter. I still reckon Dubois can batter him if he can sort his mental strength and belief out and use his weight advantage properly.
Amateur European Gold
Amateur World Gold
Amateur Olympic Gold

Almost 50% of his 25-0 professional record is against reigning or former World Champs (and he's 12-0)
First and Only Undisputed Cruiserweight 4 belt World Champ.
First and Only Undisputed Heavyweight 4 belt World Champ.

"Totally overrated"

Some outrageous conspiracy fannies pi55ing themselves on here like.

Usyk looked sh1t until the 10th round. Wasn't moving, wasn't busy, was easy to hit. Looked like he'd aged and carrying too much weight.

Verhoeven was surprisingly effectively and dangerous, despite his absolutely bizarre style and stance. He was ahead on points for me going into the 11th.

Usyk upped the tempo his game in the 10th round. Busier, flurries of punches, more energy, and he was catching Rico a lot more. Rico's stance also lends itself to being caught with an uppercut, which is exactly what happened and ve was absolutely seeing stars.

After the knockdown, the referee gave Rico an extraordinary amount of time to get a gumshield back in (25 seconds from the knockdown to the restart) giving Verhoeven a massive helping hand in recovery. He was absolutely gone as well, he could barely walk to his corner even get the gumshield in.

The fight then eventually restarts, and Usyk immediately hits him, he stumbles into the corner and then receives about 7 or 8 unanswered punches while barely able to keep his hands up or stay on his feet. Ref then waves it off with literally 1 second left of the round - which was a bit daft really, but tbf Rico was fvcked and just trying to survive the round.

Did he call it unnecessarily early? Yeah, probably. Was he cheating in favour of Usyk? Don't be fvcking silly.

People who annoyed will probably be looking at the Wardley fight, and how that was stopped, which is fair enough. However, that fight was an absolute disgrace that should have been stopped about 2 or 3 rounds before.

Looking at the post fight scorecards, had it went the distance he was going to get tucked up off the judges
Scorecards poor in my opinion and also think ref was very eager to stop it.

Would have been amazed if Usyk didn’t stop him though.

While Usyk miles from his best, for whatever reason, it’s clear that Rico will cause a lot of top heavyweights problems.

Will be ineresting to see if Verhoeven is actually decent or whether it's another Ngannou type scenario where he gets annihilated by the first decent heavyweight who actually takes him seriously.

Didn't watch it did Verhoeven got robbed?

Yes.

Usyk didn't turn up for the first 5 to 6 rounds, and even then he was flat and predictable.

Rico basically ran out of steam, which is the ONLY reason Usyk stopped him.

All credit to Rico. Only his second ever boxing match and he made Usyk play second fiddle.

Usyk possibly / probably would have stopped him in round 12, but the corrupt referee stopped it first chance he got.
