Latest boxing crack

Neither Fury or AJ have beaten anybody particularly impressive for a good while. Fury looks to have more left in the tank and AJ was already all over the place mentally before the car crash incident. However Fury's feet and reactions have slowed a bit, as you'd expect.

Fury technically better and better footwork...but the fact that Joshua can box as well - makes it a 50/50 fight still imo.
Who has he avoided like?

He fought Ngannou whilst he held world titles, which was a joke in itself...

I saw the likes of Liston, Patterson, Clay, Frazier and Foreman.
The golden age, today's boxers are pussies compared.

And lost every round in both fights against Ortiz who was probably 45 year old

How many top 5 opponents has fury fought?

He has a trilogy against Chisora ffs
Going off independent rankings as opposed to sanctioning bodies shite, Fury's record against top 5 opponents is 4-2-1, and realistically should be 5-2 given that pretty much everyone had him beating Wilder first time around, whereas Joshua is 3-2.

That could apply if Wilder hadn't lost to Zhang and Parker...

It's proven that he was overrated...

Lot of boxing maths I see….😂😂😂😂

Fury v wilder trilogy was superb. They are available in YouTube, give them a go, class action.

They were 3 great fights with ups and downs...

But I still don't see how / why people give so much credence to Wilder as a top opponent.

The draw with Fury is probably his career best result. He's lost every other time he's fought someone who can actually box...

Im not really interested in boxing maths and shit on these lads..

That trilogy was tremendous, simple as that for me. Why I watch boxing.

And Benn still couldn't put a dent in him

Random one, but if people look at the clip from the changing rooms when they were finishing wraps, the gauze padding on Prograis knuckles looked particularly massive - so hand injury aligns. Thought he looked to have a knee/ankle issue in his right leg too.

I find it mildly frustrating that the Klitschko win seldom has the caveat dangled over it that it should when discussing h2h etc. Fury served a two year ban after that but people still treat the win as untainted and fully legitimate. Wonder if they would do so with Conor Benn if he popped after Eubank not before.

If we're going to off your logic then Joshua doesn't have a win against a top 5 opponent because Povetkin went on to lose to Whyte and Parker went on to lose to Whyte, Joyce and Wardley subsequently. And Ruiz has done absolutely nothing of any note either side of beating Joshua either.

Nothing wrong with a bit wild boar.

Joshua's record isn't great either against the proper top fighters...

That's why I think in reality it's hard to split them or say with certainty who would win.

I still edge towards Joshua, but neither of them are really up there with the all time heavyweight greats.

The biggest questions with Joshua now are regarding his mental state and confidence. I still think there's a good chance that he doesn't step in the ring again.

Would be interesting to see how much he's been tested in the last 6 months...he clearly prepared well for last nights fight...

He'll obviously be facing some serious mental demons as a result of the accident last year but don't think he has anything left technically/physically at the top level any more.

Thought that his feet and balance looked dreadful against Dubois from the opening bell and everything we have seen and heard from his team since then suggest they know he's done and are only remaining in the sport for a cash out fight.

He got clocked early against Dubois and never fully recovered. He had some offensive success, but was always looking vulnerable.

I still think that if you put Dubois / Fury / Joshua in with each other then they are all 50/50 fights.

Usyk is just a different animal. Joshua still beats most other heavyweights I'd say. Itauma aside.

Absolutely...his advisors should take him to one side and advise him to retire.
Last night was embarrassing for him...sitting there saying he " controls" everything....it was actually sad.
Joshua and Fury should move on and let some of the up and coming Heavyweights have a crack
