Wasn't he wearing Gary Speeds shirt cos they were pals?

All the mags were chanting "Shearer, Shearer" because of Calzaghe wearing it. We nearly got lynched when the Suddickers with us all started shouting "Fuck Shearer!" :lol:

Nah his was in 99 when he fought Robin Reid at the arena. Speed didn't die until 2011.

It was just bootlicking the locals for a cheap pop. Ive seen it a few times, best one was at the wrestling when Christian wore a Sunderland top as he was a heel and ust have been looking to get shit but most of the crowd must have been Sunderland and he got the biggest pop of the night lol

see hearn confirmed the Benn v jr fight isn’t signed and still a way to go, Benn could be fighting at welterweight in October.
 
New to this thread but just watched the CG bout between Australia and Zambia. Firstly I know nowt about boxing rules. But, the young Aussie lad Alex Winwood from Australia didn’t deserve to lose that fight from what I believe is called a technical knockout. He just looked wrong footed to me and fell. He got up straight away and was ready to box on.
More importantly though it was brilliant to see an Aboriginal lad from WA (he’s a Noongar man) representing Australia on the world stage and you could see in his interview afterwards how much it meant to him.
