Lass sitting next me at graft...

Subs have gone up massively recently. Even if it's a pre ceramic one then its probably still around £5.5k-6.5k if it has box and papers. Fair play to her husband.

Nowt salacious I'm afraid if that's what you were hoping for.

Just pulled a Rolex Submariner out of her handbag and asked what I thowt of it. Her grandad has just gave it to her husband apparently.

She nearly shat herself when I telt her it's probably worth about £8k-£10k!

Would rather have a Breitling mesel like.
Thowt? Rhymes with nowt?

Would you not type thort? (I'd go for thought personally)

Sounds like an absolute f***ing bellend

who walks up to people and randomly asks them to critique a watch that they believe is fairly worthless but turns out to worth thousands.

Humble bragging fucknut
Possibly this

I prefer to think the grandad hasn't got any sons/grandsons and thinks enough of this lad to gift him.

Could both be wrang like

I paid £3.2k for mine about 6 years ago. Its a 2003 model. I've nee idea what its worth today?
about £5k-£5.5k mate, depends on condition and model (date or no date)

paid £5.7k for mine a year ago, 2018 model - after being on a 2 year waiting list which ended up reducing to 6 month after my BIL got involved - he has bought loads of pieces from that particular jeweller -been offered £8k+ for mine which I turned down

Good call as lot of insurance companies only cover non-specified single items up to around £1.5k as standard
My insurance company wanted an extra 30 quid a month to cover my Rolex so I went to a specialist jewelry insurance company and got covered for £18 a month
