I saw lightning hit a bus stop sign about 20yrs away from me as a kid when running to school. I’ll never run to school again. Not near a bus stop is it?
solutions is not complicated.
1) Weather warning - lightening possible.
2) Open the valves and let out some of the fart gas.
3) OXford smells strongly of fart for an hours or so.
Ipso facto. No explosion.
yeah but this is offgas from an anaerobic digester. it is basically just fart. ( Although I accept it could easily be controlled by flare)Petrochem sites normally flare the excess gas (for a variety or reasons). It’s a proven technology.
Ironically, being earthed is what attracts lightning strikes. Those plants are supposed to be earthed to prevent this
