Strange isn't it? Durham made such a song and dance about him bowling in the nets during the Essex game that rumours were rife that he would be in the starting line up for the Yorkshire match last Friday and yet since then something akin to a news blackout. His only other appearance was sitting in the dugout for the 2nd XI fixture against Notts when we put out our first team.

Perhaps he's suffered an injury set back.

Perhaps the ECB will allow him to play in the three conecutive away games at the end of the month (which would be typical).

Perhaps it helped flog a few T20 season tickets as I know of at least three people at the beginning of June who bought one on the strength of seeing him at the Riverside. 🤔

One of the key questions is whether we can bat positively but with sense in the middle overs against Lancs slower bowlers or as usual will our batsman shovel shots straight to mid on or mid off or cloth mighty heaves straight to boundary fielders like slow guided missiles
