Lancashire vs Durham - County Championship

Morning all, back from my exploits with the Turkish National side and looking forward to keeping a close eye on proceedings today. Had a few texts off my old man yesterday informing me of the goings on at Liverpool. You can imagine the astonishment at the following 3 texts: Lancs 84 all out....... Durham 61-6....... Durham 186 all out Benk 83, Lancs 4-0, Close.

If I remember rightly we had a very bowler friendly surface last year against Lancashire when it turned a mile from Day 1 and I'm sure the year afore that too (iirc) at Blackpool?!!

Anyway, hoping we can send them back for no more than 250 today. Owt more than 150 could be a very tricky chase...... Worried that overhead conditions might be batsmen friendly today and they may score 400+.

It was played in blazing sunshine yesterday.

It was very humid I believe though...... I'm getting at the comments that it was swing that brought the clatter of wickets and not a bad pitch. Seemingly the pitch is a good one and on't have much wear for sure!

2 and a bit days to get 180. This is ours to lose now, unless the conditions are the same tomorrow as they were yesterday.

Durham Cricket Club
Onions chips Mahmood to the slips for 1. Durham 24-3

was a bit nervous about these few overs

have you seen highights of this game and last. If he were bowling 85mph he wouldnt be bowling good batsman out who even dexter admitted are getting done for pace

lets be honest steakys mates at Lancs are probably retired and cant even see the pitch

I think this is a fairly typical EB comment. You don't watch much cricket but dismiss the opinions of people who go to County games, and even watch them net.

So. 154 required tomorrow to effectively seal the title. Super.
