La Liga 2023/24

Echo's of Clive Thomas in the 1978 World Cup.
"Clive the Book".
Vaguely remember Clive Thomas refereeing a FA Cup semi final between Everton & Liverpool in the 1970's ?
Think he got a load of stick for controversially disallowing a potentially crucial goal ?

He just loved being the centre of attention.

Osasuna 1-0 Alaves

A bit of a nothing game really with both sides in mid table. Osasuna could nick 6th but it’s unlikely.

Has any team ever gone an entire season without winning a game? How have Almeria ended up in this position? Are they a small newly promoted club punching above their weight or do they have financial issues or something?

Fewest wins in a league season in La Liga is 2. Almeria have already broken the record for the longest winless run

stayed up on the last day of last season then the manager resigned afterwards. After 8 game of this season they had already gone through 2 managers iirc

Athletic look like they're going to catch Atletico for the 4th Champions League spot.

If the front 4 stay injury free, they probably will. They don't have a lot of depth on the bench in those 4 positions apart from Berenguer.

Villalibre doesn't suit their style, Raul Garcia and Muniain are finished and Adu Ares is some way off being a player who can make an impact.

They’re currently 1-0 up against Sevilla
