This is what I expect will happen. There will be an alternative for those who literally can't have a ticket on a smart phone etc, but I expect the club will try not to promote it very widely, and possibly to have a cost associated with it because, as you say, they won't want lots who can use a digital ticket simply deciding they'd rather keep their cards

There will be an option for those who can't access a digital card, 100%

Terrible these old fashioned ways where you just wave a card and you gain admittance.

Funny thing is I am an older gentleman I embrace new technology I deal with this technology with NFL tickets it’s awesome you do not want to go back to turnstiles handling money or paper ticketing. You can print your tickets and scan them fyi

Gus is an absolute legend and has been a major part of SO37 matchdays for years. He doesn't own a mobile phone and the lads at SO37 always update him on meeting times etc by phoning his landline. He's the least confrontational bloke on the planet. Fair play to him

Not sure, but realistically the club won't know if you've got a smart phone or not, so if people are really determined I'm sure they can get a physical one

Finger print scanners would work a lot better than mobile phones.
almost everyone has a finger and they don’t cost anything. Unlike mobile phones. Imagine your phone dies just before entering

For someone who uses biometric scans (finger prints) on a daily basis, they are shit, slow and a high % don’t work if the scanner is needing cleaned after a few scans, people not putting finger on correctly or using the wrong finger.

must be the system. My sons have been using them for years for school dinners and never had a single issue.

We use these card things to get into our place. Scan your card and it lets you in. Very few problems too. Might be worth the club looking into.

And hasn't been changed all weekend. As I have said I hope for the lads who have said it's sake there is a new statement tomorrow

Rummaging thru my match programmes earlier ..found my Season/Ticket renewal letter, sent out by the club prior to 21/22.. You and the rest of the supporters associations were told about this at the last meeting... So I am told off a very reliable source....!
