Defoe definitely wasn't better. Did you see Phillips play at his peak? Phillips was world class for a few seasons.

Market economy innit, while there's a KP talk in market he'll be able to benefit from it which he'd be daft not too given his coaching earnings have probably been pretty meagre the last 10 years. When people aren't bothered the market goes away.
