Keep Le Bris even if we're relegated?

It also depends on the club’s next 5 year plan with a lot more £££ to play with.
Exactly.

The 5 year plan was completed in 4 years ? So Speakman's Model worked well. It HAS to continue.

I'm not even thinking of any chance of survival, i'm thinking of the classy young players he can bring in that will strengthen our push for promotion in 2026/27.

We've had a big uplift in returning 'supporters' for season ticket sales. A lot are the same people who cut ties when we went into league 1 and didn't escape at the 1st time of asking.

So now they've returned, and spent a lot more on their tickets. They're in for a shock if they're expecting us to win every week (which i cannot see happening - the evolution of this club and history of the PL. Suggests yo-yo club status before stabilising). They'll be the first to start moaning and complaining, and it will catch on.

Unfortunately, I can see Le Bris being a victim of his own success last season before the window opens again in January if we are still within a shout of staying up. We will be playing counter attacking football each game. I'm not sure a lot of people have understood what we need to endure next season as we get back to where, I believe, we belong.

I've stuck through the wallopings at Bolton, Rotherham, Sheffield Wednesday and watched parky ball, drove home huffed and picking the match to bits with family.

This season coming will be a doddle for 23,000 of us.

The returning hoards are in for a hard slog.

It’s not the modern way. What odds if we’re struggling he’s even allowed to stay the season clubs always look at a new manager bounce as one way of avoiding the drop and we’re probably one of the highest achievers through that route.

What a thing to be fantasising about man 🤣

“What did you today Dad?”
“Well son, I spent the day fantasising about what would happen to Le Bris should we get relegated in eleven month time”
“Well done Pops, I’m proud of you”

i'm just wondering what everyone's take is on potentially keeping le bris even if we are relegated. just like ipswich have with mckenna. build around le bris so that we can go again?

(btw i'm not saying we're going to be relegated, just a thought)
No. We go stronger and stronger

I mean he could be easily be replaced next season let alone staying until 26/27.

A pretty pointless and daft hypothetical before the fixtures have even been announced all the same.

What does the fixture announcement have to do with anything ? We play all the other 19 teams home and away whatever the order.

Levy fire him….its all about owner/manager relationship

People wanted him sacked just before we played Coventry. He'll not get the lickings when the pressure is on from some.
Bang on Botchie lad. He was getting dogs abuse on here by some just before the Coventry game.

It will start again when the 1st defeats start coming in unfortunately.

I'd keep him if we go down as he'll become a better manager with Premier league experience.

Very true this

Be good to revisit this in a few months after we've been spanked (as will probably happen once or twice this season ).

We can spend far far less than any of our rivals
If we stay up it's because of le bris but also from the long term planning of KLD and KS and buying young players, and it will be because we have been lucky and a lot of the young players will have made the step up to the prem 🤞🙏

We are rightly favourites to go down.
But it won't stop loads abusing him and KS and KLD when we invariably lose a few matches

I would be keen on keeping him but I suspect that if we are bottom by Christmas there will be a lot of calls for him to be fired mid season. Just look how many on here wanted him gone before the playoffs.

If he does his job we should still be in with a chance up to the last few games in which case regardless of the outcome I would keep him.

Until I see a boat load of incomings , I’m resigned to us getting maybe 4 to 6 wins all season. Add in 6 draws , that’s a total of 18 to 22 points. That is realistic and entirely acceptable to me , given the huge gulf between PL and promoted sides.
The above scenario would for me be enough reason to give Reggie another shot at it 26/27 .
It won’t happen though, the part timers and sofa warriors on here won’t give him past October.

Wow , that’s pretty damning.

Getting beat week in and week out the mood changes very quickly.
Rational thinking will go out the window by most fans and after the initial barrage of spend, spend, spend it ultimately will transfer to the Manager and the fact that he is not good enough.

Going to be a very tough season.
