Keel Crossing [opened 18.10.25] - compendium thread

I’m a bit of a nerd when it comes to the history of our town and riverside. There had t been a new crossing before the spire bridge for a long time. There won’t be another anytime soon now so it is a bit of history. It links our club more directly with the city centre. It’s took an unreal amount of time since vauxies closed but it’s finally starting to be something we were promised when it shut decades ago.

I am enthused by the new riverside developments. However the actual access to the riverside walk past the wearmouth bridge being shut for the best part of what feels like forever and the fact that the scenes around the pallion giant tweezers bridge still looks like a post apocalyptic hell hole don't inspire me it'll be done any time soon. I had high hopes, and still do, that the actual riverside areas could be made as beautiful as st peters area, on both sides, but seems like that isn't priority and if it does ever happen it will take years and years. I'd hoped that would be extended past whre it was previously but i guess we'll see if that's happened in 2035

It’s definitely not went smoothly at all like and more needs doing. I think I was still in school when vaux shut I’m now 43 😂 it’s definitely been slow moving. It’s just nice to finally see some movement and the stuff around the Sol if it all pans out is great for the city.

We all know who it is. The police need to take action as its vandalism and costing the council fortunes to remove

I've noticed he's started to use a strong yellow adhesive to stick them to roads signs and whatnot now. They're a bugger to get off and leave a right mess when you do. He should be locked up in Cherry Knocker or wherever they put them nowadays.
