Keel Crossing [opened 18.10.25] - compendium thread

Wonder which way they'll bring the maggots in. Previous years they've had at Peter's all blocked off and walked them around the back and where the stables are, through the car park and to the north upper turnstiles. Can't imagine they'll be able to do that this time.
They’ll give them The Stables as an away only fanzone.

It's rubbish like this that doesn't help , so we should plan the construction of the bridge for a event that wasn't announced till after construction started

Why would we want a park warden? What a weird comparison to make.

“If they had planned their construction timetable better they could have had the bridge open fully in time for the Rugby World Cup - instead they used public money to hide their failures.”

What a plug

Might just have to make the Stadium of Light station as their designated stop then walk them down Newcastle Rd, right towards the Colliery Tavern and then to the North Stand. That’s surely easier than anything else with the new bridge. I know it’s not as easy for them logistically, but we have to manage with walking right through their entire city centre so I’m sure this can be managed along a couple of short roads.

I assume he is saying if they had finished on time (before the WRWC) they wouldn't have had to put the temporary tarmac path down and with the money saved could have employed an additional parkie in one of the parks where the feral bikers are are running riot. He's just taking another cheap shot.

Did they rip it up immediately after that game - I thought it was still down a couple of weeks ago?

I doubt they'll do that. Possibly march them up hay street and around the bottom of the west stand car park. Means the home fans coming from town can access the stables and the plod would just need to temporarily block off access to the south stand from the stables
I know, I was joking. Although after the last fiasco I wouldn’t rule anything out just yet.

He’s a dick head that lad. Popped up in some Welsh local Facebook group behind a campaign against speed limits near Welsh schools.
