Keel Crossing [opened 18.10.25] - compendium thread


Memories of the chippy up from the derby at roker park. Being a youngun 10p a shot was right up my street 🤣 and they were tremendous.
I used to get them from church street chippy, just up from the jacksons. Couldn't get them in Washy, was a proper novelty( and nice and cheap for a youngun taking his pocket money to the match).
 
The one I am on about was. The fella you replied to was on about the one over the road from the derby

Chippy was Bede St n opposite Javs
thats the one - 15 pence for a curry batter bun in the day

Just a hobby, I haven't even had it a year yet and I'm still learning. The drone (and editing) is very good at making me look more skilled than I am. :lol:

They’re very good and well done for documenting this. I look at old photos of Sunderland when various things were getting built or events. It will be great for people in the future to refer back to your videos.
 
Wonder if the smaller section 5 is coming on the back of a low loader by road
