Keel Crossing [opened 18.10.25] - compendium thread

Was in Ember on Saturday and they have a cracking view of the bridge from the window at the back
We were too. They've got girders coming out the side. They said they'd be adding a deck for more tables. Assuming they'll have some sort of perspex screen otherwise the wind will blow the food away in winter :)

Bit of a weird one one but I have been looking for the barge return date from Rotterdam Port schedule. All articles specifically said the barge was going back to Rotterdam to pick up the next bridge sections. the Barge ID is HEBO-P54 and Sunderland Port clearly had it on their manifest / schedule on the first lifts, however all radar vessel sites dont list it as if it doesnt exist. The only other vessel in the HEBO fleet coming into Rotterdam in the next 72 hours is a crane barge which we wouldnt be using as its not needed plus theres no barges due in Sunderland the next 72 hours. With the crawler crane now rigged up on the south side I would expect to see the barge in the port schedules by now.

Ive looked on Belguim ports also as Ostend is the closest to the factory where theyve been built but nowt - strange one that I cant find HEBO-P54 anywhere

When I was offshore seen many 500tn+ modules been lifted in looking like a matchbox against the crane barges lifting them

Earlier in my career, I worked on the construction of the Devenick module at McNulty which I thought was quite big. It was loaded out by Heerema Thialf which made it look tiny in comparison.

Been on much larger modules since which are too big for single lifts.
