Is that true?thank John Hall for the delay, he had the hump about the new ground and blocked the Millennium bridge for Sunderland over the Wear
that's my memory of it, he was titular head of some millennium fund thing for the north east.Is that true?
He's definitely a tit head.that's my memory of it, he was titular head of some millennium fund thing for the north east.

Newcastle have always had it in for us. They objected to the building of the North Pier as they saw it as a threat to "their" coal trade from the Durham coalfield.Never heard of that but it is true that John Hall used his money and influence in ways which were ultimately detrimental to Sunderland in the bid to create a Newcastle Centric North East.
Including fusing the term Geordie with NUFC and even buying up local sports terms to relocate them in Newcastle

Politics is a murky business.
Why was Tyne and Wear Council based in Newcastle? Hmmm.
As a kid I was always envious of people who lived in houses around Roker Park.
Yes he was controlling the lottery funding for the millenium bridges. Tyne and Tees both got bridges. Apparently Sunderlands wasnt a worthy design. Is that true?
Only if you want good beerDo we all have to flick V’s as we walk across?
I think it’s been shut for a while now, it definitely needs some work on it mind the slabs were all absolutely fucked last time I walked over it.That's the one. Needs work to bring it back to full use imo
if they ever look to build the low level bridge it would make better sense positioned near to the university. The site of the old ferry landing.
It would connect the city centre to a more direct route to roker. It would be used by university students. It seems crazy they’ve got plans for two footbridges next to each other? The site at st. Peter’s would be infinitely better place for the 2nd bridge
We've not been around that way for some time so not surprised it closed for Vaux building work. Panns bank route also closed too as working under Wearmouth Bridge. Shame but got the new bridge to run over and new footbridge will be great too. It'll really help the stables and likely keep people in pubs on city side for a pint longer. Big chance for club to attract people to SOL too, if they're imaginative enough to do so.I think it’s been shut for a while now, it definitely needs some work on it mind the slabs were all absolutely fucked last time I walked over it.
Well have more bridges than Central London soon, meanwhile up the road share all there's with Gateshead. Half a bridge![]()
They'll try to claim Wahington's bridges and Durham too. Ignoring the fact Durham is a city in a different county and Washington is part of City of SunderlandWill the scum claim our new bridges are partly theirs and add the total number together as the new tyne bridges extensions. lol
bullshit is it. Mag?
