Keel Crossing [opened 18.10.25] - compendium thread

@kingo
Starting to resemble..dare I say it....A City!
if, and it’s a big if, they can fill the office blocks on the south side the place will be buzzing. It is certainly a lot of office space to fill.

There is still lots of empty space in the adjacent completed buildings, thats before building 3 and 4 on the riverside plot is complete next summer.

Hopefully things pick up regarding office space occupation in the coming years or these new buildings could become a white elephant.

RSA has already leased 38,000 sq/ft of Faber, enough for its 400 workers

They've got 400+ moving into the maker and faber early next year which is a good start..hopefully more to follow

some more of the plots are due to be started from next year, I'm not sure which ones though. along by pann lane is meant to be from next year as well (at least it is on the time table)

These photos and the videos are great.

I've been thinking of getting a drone as want to put some better video footage of developments together, but I don't know alot about them and what price range is good for decent quality images.

I sometimes come across some of them auditing videos on YouTube (most are antagonising aresholes I've got to say) but they always have a 249 gram drone which they always say they can do anything with...(please don't go on industrial estates, fly over a business and wait for the owner to come out and turn into an areshole arguing with him!)

That's a misconception that people always say. It's true that the rules have been relaxed but there's still rules that you must follow

I started a thread recently about the same thing and got some decent advice.
I went DJI Mini 4 Pro but imagine a cheaper one would still get good results.

Thankyou.

If you do fancy one DJI is the way to go. Sub 250gm and you can fly it almost anywhere with an operator id which costs £10 a year. I was selling my mini3 pro but have decided to keep it for now. They're great fun, the shots you can get from them are second to none.

@Big Jeff is selling one, DJI mini if he hasn't already. Could probably set you up.

This is a good thread for you to read with some good info to get you into the hobby

How are you finding the mini4?

Love it although I've only scratched the surface. Weather conditions haven't been ideal so flying time has been limited.
Think I need to get a bit more confident in letting it fly a decent distance away from me.
Not that it's a requirement but I did the Flyer ID exam yesterday as there's no harm in understanding the laws.

Yeah good drone, all round sensors too which make it pretty much crash proof, unless it is in sports mode as i found out the hard way when i wrote my first mini3 off.

The flyer id is a good exercise, as you say theres no harm in doing it and its free.
