On a Pompey forum I wrote:
"This is one of the issues I wanted to take up with the makem obsessed pompey lot on FOL - so if one of you don't mind, please copypasta this under my authority.

The Mackems are a simple people, much like us humble Pompey lads. They have had a terrible past 10 year past with suffering - their only respite being the geordies are in eternal struggle. Look at their forum, mostly they speak complimentary about us - kindly even, they come across as alright people, down to earth, but with a few bad eggs.

Us, on the other hand come across on our forums, and in real life as the classless, slum-estate scum that some have said.

Show some f***ing humility - they're not a traditional rival, they haven't done anything to us, a lot of their supporters speak highly of us despite the fact that many of our thick scum chav estate wankers who are highly vocal speak poorly of them.

They come from a similar place as we do, and are in in a similar situation now. Stop being a bunch of pricks."

I have been banned, btw, on all but one Pompey forum, for previous 'controversial' comments. I just want to say hope we stuff you tomorrow, but it aint personal.

A bit of the animosity maybe comes from you nicking all the players that we went in for a few year back, but 'Arry' signed cos he took them to the casino and showed them a good time, marra (all paid for from some undisclosed bank account of course)! ;)

Who did we miss out on that we could have had? Don't remember at all!
 
pompey have always been a well supported team, and the majority are no bother at all. however (sadly) ay wembley my eyes were opened to a lot of picks tbh, yes all teams Inc us have them
but on a day where you are supposed to just go out and enjoy the experience of being in a final, all they seemed to want to do was to goad us into a fight !
Hope today goes well, and the decent ones turn up

Can't remember any of the names, bur I do remember at the time that (late 90s Early 2000s) that there were 2 or 3 that we were quite heavily linked with that Dodgy 'Arry' beat us too. One of them in particular said the reason he signed for them instead of us, was that Rednap took him to the Casino and made him feel more 'wanted' there.

I'm pretty sure that Muntari was one of them and it was later than I thought 2005ish, that Rednap took over.
