Aye nothing worse then realising your waffling like and that’s what they want. It’s them being good at their jobs. They love to get you floundering and desperately searching for an answer. It’s much better to try and be clear and concise but it’s really hard in the spotlight of course
Followed by the defence lawyer (which happened about 15 minutes ago) giving a polite, 'Would you like a break, Ms Staveley'

Totally agree been there and done it, more times than I care to remember, but you do wise up to it. Yes or no with a bit of context when necessary now. If you don’t you give them more ammunition because they find more questions in your replies.
I always said that’s why they are paid what they are paid.

Always tried to use the technique of turning to the judge to answer, but via Zoom she loses that option

Think 4 hours was my longest which isn’t bad to be fair. Think she might be there a while yet like!

Yeah turning to the judge is definitely the thing to do, it’s a surprisingly hard skill to adapt to though because your natural response is to reply to the person asking you a question.
Honesty is also the other tactic best to use, if you don’t know say so and if you know and know you messed up admit it. That way they can’t keep coming after you with the mess up you made. If they do, in my experience the judge intervenes and says “so and so has admitted it wasn’t their finest moment I’m not sure what else you want them to say” almost a direct quote from a judge in one of my less find moments 😀

Yeah I have had judges step in and say that I had answered that question and to move on. 3 days? Wow, I definitely got off lightly.

Sounds like he have a couple of serial criminals on our forum M’Lud 🤯

In court to see if you are going to win your 1.7 billion case or if you have to settle for less or lose completely and be stuck with your miserable 115 million fortune.
First world problems

Just need 3/4 parties all with barristers, the hours soon add up and a day in Court doesn’t usually equate to the hours a working day equates to in real life. That’s why I always love it once you’ve given your evidence it’s like working part time hours 🤣🤣🤣

I think this was the Restis referred to -
Lol I am on about Janey and Sabre Mag, but you are right Staveley is as dodgy as hell. I would not want her being involved with any takeover to do with us, just pleased it is with our adversaries

Get this over and then it’s full steam ahead to become the richest club in the world , can’t wait.

How , after so many times repeating the same thing, are you failing to understand the difference between aim and achievement? None of those teams aimed to be below Newcastle, did they?

People contextualise Leicester's unlikely Premier League win all the time. I contextualise Newcastle's unlikely 5th placed finish too. People are contextualising Liverpool's likely title win this season. Other Sunderland fans contextualise your relegations.

Again, aim v achievement is tripping you up. None of those players were to make a loss on.

And that's despite little to no investment in the academy, imagine how many young local lads we could have brought through for buttons and either played or sold to cover investment in the first team.

It wasn't that solid, we were fighting against relegation because the squad wasn't deep enough.

“I tried from the summer of 2012 to sign a new contract with Newcastle but it never worked. It was always ‘We will give you this, but only if you play games’. I kept saying to them ‘It is the same – I will play’. But they wanted that in the contract. I kept saying ‘Don’t do this to me.’ ”

Direct quote from Ba. Of course when Chelsea found out about his pittance of a release clause they came in for him, but he was playing regularly, playing well, so why didn't they give him a new contract? Well because they gambled that we'd survive without him.

You wouldn't be in League One, I think he'd be a decent owner for you. He'd get you back in the Premier League, he'll have learned a lot of lessons from owning us. Don't pick a fight with club legends, don't rename the stadium without paying for it, don't get embroiled in constructive dismissal cases with cancer sufferers, don't antagonise the fan base, and so on...

Thing is Ashley is worse than you make out, but not as bad as is made out by the caricature Newcastle fan you invent to serve a purpose.
You don't half talk some shite.💩

It’s a load why dont they just have a separate NUFC forum for this away from the main board ? Resident Mags and those who love to bite at them could spend all their time on there
To be fair all the posts are on 1 thread. The title of the thread makes it clear what it’s about.
You can chose to read it or not and chose to post or not. I honestly don’t know why people complain about that. The choice is yours.
My only contribution has been in the last few posts about court processes. Doesn’t mean I haven’t read it all and just chosen not to post
