Newcastle fans just saw it as a joke and a day out to go watch the kids play against Sunderland.

I was genuinely surprised at how giddy Sunderland fans got when they got to the final of that cup, like it was some sort of big trophy and achievement.

and got very excited about it. Thought you were going to turn up with your kids and win

can’t speak for others but I just saw it as a day out at Wembley with no pressure as it’s a meaningless Mickey Mouse cup.

It was, I want us to win anything. I haven't seen it. I remember NUFC winning the Japan cup in 1983 and that was treated like a World cup win. There was a crowd at the airport when the team returned.
I remember Newcastle winning the championship under Hughton and Benitez recently, people were happy granted but it was hardly madly celebrated, just a case of job done, now the real works begins. Far bigger achievement than getting to the final of the paint trophy.

Been there, done that, loads of times. Never seen us win at Wembley despite 8 visits.

I agree with that other than Sunderland aren't in the same tier as the others in tier 3. All the others in tier 3 have played loads of games in europe and gone deep into European competitions and/or won them.

Also every single one in that list other than Sunderland has all finished in the top 6 at least once in the last 30 years
Like I said bald men fighting over combs. All can argue they are bigger than the others depending on the metrics you use.
Move Spurs an Everton to their own level just below Arenal, Chelsea etc..
You can argue who should be where all day long. The point I was trying to make to the daft Mag was they are on a level with many other English clubs.

Usually when I don't care about something it barely occupies a single iota of my time.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess...
The young bird out of that went into porn I believe.

I know this is hard for you to accept but this is the way that most rational people would see the ranking of English clubs.

Man Utd, Liverpool. In a league of their own.

Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea. Arsenal more successful but recent success puts the other 2 alongside them now.

Villa, Everton, Sunderland, Newcastle, Leeds, Forest, Spurs, Forest. The most successful of the rest. All have had their days in the sun. Some more recently than others. Bald men fighting over combs at the present time.
Hard to argue with any of this. Would question why Forest get two bites of the cherry though.

Fans of each of the clubs in your third tier will have massive arguments about why their club is bigger than the others, but we're all very much the Tomi of the Ameobi brothers.

Your European record never crosses my mind like i can guarantee you it.

Lies.

Lies.

Mocking your love for a certificate is hardly an in-depth analysis of your European record. The fact you went searching about anarl 🤣. Sad bastard

There's a grey area inbetween 'not crossing my mind' and 'in depth', like.

Hint: It's where you are.
You must really care about Sunderland the amount of time you spend on here.

Care enough to want to see you fail miserably, like (as any rival would).

If that counts.

Plus I'm more or less exclusively on this thread and the non-football areas.

There is no grey area in regards to posting over 26 thousand times on a rivals message board

Hint: its sad as fuck and weird as fuck

I'm over it.

Hopefully you'll get there someday, got my fingers crossed for you.

Now, back on topic...
