Morning marra
Big frankie bookie bashing yesterday
The nearest I ever got to that Nirvana was a summer job at the crisp factory when I was demoted from packing on the lines (from which you were allowed to scoff as many hot, fried potato circles as your scorched mouth could withstand) to testing the spuds in a little lab. As a matter of minimal interest, at the time those from Cyprus & Egypt were best for crisps as they had a lower sugar content so didn't burn so easily. Great days.Morning lads. Might stick something on after gym. Off work today and going to see Toy Story 4
This made me smile
I did used to work in the labs at Vaux testing the beer.
Just for you (not that you need any reminder from the Mighty Pontin):Afternoon Hank, Afternoon All,
Nowt for me.
Have a gud un!

Reasons to be cheerful part 3
1 2 3
Summer, Buddy Holly, the working folly
Good golly Miss Molly and boats
Hammersmith Palais, the Bolshoi Ballet
Jump back in the alley and nanny goats
18-wheeler Scammels, Domenecker camels
All other mammals plus equal votes
Seeing Piccadilly, Fanny Smith and Willy
Being rather silly, and porridge oats
A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome, we can spare it - yellow socks
Too short to be haughty, too nutty to be naughty
Going on 40 - no electric shocks
The juice of the carrot, the smile of the parrot
A little drop of claret - anything that rocks
Elvis and Scotty, days when I ain't spotty,
Sitting on the potty - curing smallpox

When I was about 5 or 6 I cried watching Lassie Come Home. I'm sure I actually cried. Many years later I became allergic to dogs. I'll leave you to ponder on that. Better still, file it away under ST for Sentimental Tripe or STF for Stranger Than Fiction. You decide....I really enjoyed that film. A sort of happy sad ending that made me blub

That's great going, marra. Set yasel achievable targets. Achieve them, then set more. It's a very sensible strategy, in my opinion.20th morning sober
Which was my intention never said about afternoon or night time boozing
Not sure of the year, marra, but it was Roddy McDowell & (I think) Donald Crisp. Plus Lassie, of course! The 1943 version? Awww man when Joe comes out of school and sees Lassie again. Gets me everytime
