Not actually true, though. Scored an overhead kick three weeks ago, marra.
Has scored some scorchers since leaving here. He's been a good everywhere else as he's been bad over here.

He has skill but he just wasn't fast enough to play in the Premier League. He needed a lot of time on the ball and as a consequence he could not cope with the speed with which defending players in that league could close him down.
It was clear that in other leagues he had never had to deal with that and I think a lot of his spectacular misses were due to nerves and his haste in getting a shot off before defenders could set about him. His misses were often made even more spectacular as on a number of those occasions he was actually free of defenders and he did have the time that he needed.
When he won the penalty on his break at Fulham there were actually two defenders on him in seconds. Of course those lads were a bit panicked and goofed it up when they were drawn in to the box. I remember however some of the Sunderland crowd shouting to them "leave him leave him the bugger will miss anyway." advice which fortunately the defenders didn't take despite it being pretty good.

Naaaah, in fairness, he scored this one five days ago, too. Canny getting that over the wall and into the bottom corner from there.
Regardless of how bad he was here, he scores great goals regularly owa there.
That's three in just three weeks. Has he been playing 12 years yet?
