He wasn't really just not anything like good enough for the prem, seemed a canny bloke and kept trying but just didn't have what was needed for the top flight and his confidence just seemed to drain away, led to us getting Defoe which still must be the best swap deal ever mind!
He did consistently miss open goals and chances where it was easier to score while with us. That one against West Ham where he ended up kicking the ball off his own arse... :lol:

I liked him but he was hopeless. Don't know if it was confidence or nerves. Seems a decent finisher everywhere else he's been if he fell in a bucket of tits for us he'd come out sucking his thumb
 
I always had this feeling that, if he could have got a couple of goals early on, even poxy mis hits or tap ins then he could have gone on to get a decent tally but, it just never happened for him (or us).
 
Two goals in 70 premier league appearances as an out and out striker is shocking.

Think he'd do alright for a club like Motherwell.

Like as a person though.
