Colback is a mag though, so probably had to say something along those lines to pacify SAFC fans at one time or another.

Lee Clark said pretty much the same thing live on Tyne Tees back when you lot won promtion in 92/93 was it? I don't think Pickford would now mind as he'll have a decent choice, but you never know what might happen in the future.

It would be a shite move for him, i wasnt even trying to imply he should consider it however my point was if we were his only choice he would go where the money was.

Was just talking to me dad about him today, if he leaves I hope he goes to a team where he will start and not sit on the bench, it might mean he doesn't get the move to the biggest team, but that'll come later down the line.

Always said Colback would be one of those players who would just fall through the leagues once he left Sunderland. Would be surprised if he doesn't get flogged to some Championship also rans in the summer...

Clive Allen also said he thinks he should stay with us, even in the Championship, unless he's certain to be immediate number one at the club he moves to. It'd be better for his development than sitting on a bench for a top club.

I doubt he'll be given a choice as he's one of only a few we would make money from, but if he is then it's nice to see former pros advocating for him staying.
 
Couldn't give a shit. Get rid and get the money in. The lad's a pisshead and has been spouting off for months about leaving for Utd.
 
no goalkeeper would want to sign for them....... if you make a couple of mistakes and you get aload of death threats
