Stupid thing to say. As already said on here, he will play for the team who will pay the most. Just because he's a local lad doesn't make him any different.

He won't play for Newcastle , doesn't matter how they pay
 
Why would he want to go to a team who will be battling relegation next season when he's wanted by the likes of Arsenal?
