Aye, why would a coach possibly want a leader with about 500 games at the highest level in the game. Out there on the park helping keep a team of bairns together, and making sure everybody sticks to the gaffers plan. In addition to doing his own job on the pitch. I'm sure Regis would love having the Mentality Monster out there.

One of them 2 lead there team out at Wembley (to victory) after playing constantly for the last 3 seasons. The other got ran out of one club and is showing himself to be mediocre at his latest.


Might be worth remembering what league Alex Neil managing in and what league will Dan Neil be playing in this season…..

That's just bollocks like, I understand people having different opinions on his ability, but there's no need to lie to try and emphasise your point, there was a period for a month or so were he was Sunderlands best player in nearly every game.

No comparison. Defoe should have hung his boots up before he joined us. Hendo still playing was not fit to play in 1st division
Hendo still playing international and champions league football and on demand by serious clubs

Hes won everything you can in the UK and Europe he knows the premier league inside out he captained his country . Why on earth would we not want him???
