Jordan Henderson compendium thread

Yeah you do. I’d like to understand what this thing is that was ‘everything he stood for’…. It’s easy to throw a few accusations around but very difficult to come up with some evidence…. So I’ll ask again…. What are these things that ‘were everything he stood for’ …. ????
I didn’t throw any accusations around

You however clearly knew exactly what the lad mean, unless you are genuinely saying you don’t understand why so many found it distasteful Henderson took the Saudi coin?

Are you really saying that?…

See I’ve called you out (again) and you can’t answer (again), like the lad who originally said it… show me what it is that ‘was everything he stood for’…. You can’t (again) because it doesn’t exist. He hasn’t ever proclaimed that something is ‘everything he stood for’… he has supported several initiatives over the years but there isn’t a single thing where is claims to stand for something….

Just admit it, like so many on here who can’t admit it, you just want to bash the lad for choosing to go and earn mega money at the end of his career.

Sorry?

It was so bloody obvious what the lad meant it didn’t need to be spelt out  You know fine well what he meant.

You don’t mind his hypocrisy. Ok, but many did…

Back what up? I’ve spoken about his hypocrisy. What do you think I’m on about?

And calling me a c*nt? :lol::oops:

Morning … still no actual examples of what it was he stood for I see.

That’s because he has never stood for anything, it’s a myth that’s become fact!

Embarrassing the pile on by supposed fans for a great lad from Sunderland in this thread.

Hes always supported Rainbow laces and other campaigns. He then made a monumental fuck up, and yes everybody deserves a second chance, however, the shilling for a Saudi World cup bid whilst still being England captain was abhorrent, to me at least.

He could well have stayed in England and still made millions, he chose to make more and probably underestimated the backlash from it, but sitting there saying ''come on Saudi 2034'', na sorry thats not on.

I wouldn't - think Liverpool put pressure on him to go there so they got a good amount of money - that he went along with it shows he's not very smart IMO.

He's definitely not very smart outside of a football pitch. He's still far too good for the championship on a football pitch though. Especially if he can play the position Dwight Yorke did for us. Also its always good to have a player referees respect. That shouldn't matter but it absolutely does

I'd have him back, his experience alone would propel us, everyone deserves a 2nd chance and just because he made a stupid mistake it shouldn't stop him playing football ( people have done far worse and have been giving 2nd chances) and if it's for a team he grew up to love then BHH
I generally agree. He is one of our own and would be stupid not to have him in some capacity at SAFC if he wanted to return.

As been said he made a ridiculous mistake getting into bed with the Saudis. He would need to recognise that and we could move on.

morning mr henderson/relative

But I do believe when you see something that is clearly wrong and makes another human being feel excluded you should stand shoulder-to-shoulder with them. You also have a responsibility to educate yourself better around the challenges they experience.

"That’s where my own position on homophobia in football is rooted

700k a week helped to numb those thoughts
