After all of that. After bending over for Saudi coin to 'set his family up' having spent 10+ years on Universal Cre...erm, earning well over £1m per year. To then deciding he didn't like it After 6 months and signing for Ajax (primarily to guarantee his England spot).

Then Southgate - after continuing to pick him all the way through - including even starting him in friendlies, he gets all the way to May and suddenly he's not even made the 33 man provisional, and several uncapped players are included. Those players having had no minutes for England in lieu of Southgate dying on his hill of picking the likes of Henderson even in meaningless games 😄.

All of that, for nowt.

I was always a huge fan of Hendo, but in selling out to Saudi Arabia - a move that will sadly define his career - he’s got what he deserved and I’ve no sympathy for him whatsoever.

What were the things that fall under the ‘everything he stood for’ category?
 
He might have went to Ajax for tax reasons - he would have a massive tax bill from Saudi if he wasn't out of the country for the required period?
