Was he already a multimillionaire before he went? Was his family already set for generations to come? Was he front and centre of campaigns for equality?Bang on mate. My partner’s Dad worked over there for 4 years, Made a absolute fortune and he loved it. He probably still would of been there if wasnt for the pandemic
No f***ing difference man. He's gone to Saudi to ply his trade, just like an engineer etc etc would and so fuck how much he's been paid.He hasn't murdered anyone.
He knew his days at Liverpool were numbered and tried something different.![]()
If we paid him hundreds of thousand pounds a week, maybe, aye. Those criticising JH, thousands of workers from the UK go over to the Middle East every year for work and get paid handsomely for it.
I have plenty of friends and family who did it, some for years in the oil/gas industry.
Has any of you had friends or family that have worked in the middle east? and if so... have you told them exactly what you think of them? I bet not...
Just get off your soap boxes FFS. You all wouldn't have paid any attention to JH going there, had PIF not bought the mags. You just feel the need to turn on one of our own, merely to keep your moral double standards radar in tact, enabling you to keep slating the mags.
JH has had a great successful footballing career, is a massive lads fan and would have jumped at the chance of coming back here.
Have a word with yourselves.
No, he would not.
Klopp wanted to keep him, he’s said so many timesNo f***ing difference man. He's gone to Saudi to ply his trade, just like an engineer etc etc would and so fuck how much he's been paid.He hasn't murdered anyone.

So fuck. "Oh sorry I can't sign for you, I'm ambassador for the rainbow laces campaign"...Absolutely mental that you can't see the difference. He was an ambassador for the rainbow laces campaign FFS
How? why does his career have to be controlled by what campaigns he's got involved with in good faith. If we paid him hundreds of thousand pounds a week, maybe, aye.
Let’s not pretend he was wanting to come back out of the goodness of his heart though and Saudi was his second choice.
He painted a picture of himself for years and proved it was all absolute lies by going over there, then lied again saying his reasoning for going was to ‘grow the game’ over there.
He’s a money orientated hypocrite, lads fan or not.
Yes they were, he was told he would no longer be first choice and at his age that's a big thing.Klopp wanted to keep him, he’s said so many times
His days weren’t numbered at all
And???????????????????Was he already a multimillionaire before he went? Was his family already set for generations to come? Was he front and centre of campaigns for equality?
Isn't it not a standard thing to do if going to the Middle East for a contract. Why would you pay tax in this country?Extremely ill advised decision to go there in the first place and to avoid tax liability in the UK by deferring payment of his wages.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing. He's destroyed his reputation and basically made himself poorer into the bargain
No he doesn't at all. Most who go to work over there won’t be multimillionaires stupid comparisons
Henderson deserves all the criticism that comes his way
On top of the rainbow colours subject, it's baffling how many yet haven't grasped this even though it's been mentioned plenty of time. There's no just his wages as Liverpool either adding millions to his career earnings, there will have been bonuses, sponsorships, freebies and more over the years.Another one who cannot grasp the difference between an ordinary Joe and a multimillionaire.
Really??????Not a clue ^
If he has not been paid anything by the Saudis in the fiscal year he was still subject to UK income tax on his worldwide earnings, and he is now leaving Saudi to live in the Netherlands, in what way would "UK tax rules" land him with a big tax liability as a consequence of going to Ajax? Please tell me what facts I have wrong, bearing in mind I'm only responding to the "facts" as they were presented in the article that started this thread. Most of what you write is not correct. The issue would be UK tax rules. Get your facts right and get off the hate bus
He's a footballer. He was paraded around in this country as a commodity. Those going over to work in oil and gas aren't going as tools of the crown and aren't being willingly paraded around as poster boys to wash over human rights abuses.
It's mental if you can't see the difference.
Have any of your friends and family that have worked in the middle east been multi-millionaires before they went, with huge public profiles that they used to promote causes that would be grounds for execution in the middle east? Those criticising JH, thousands of workers from the UK go over to the Middle East every year for work and get paid handsomely for it.
I have plenty of friends and family who did it, some for years in the oil/gas industry.

I'm not saying he didn't make a mistake going career wise, but FFS, SAFC fans saying they wouldn't have him back here and aiming the vitriol they are at him is f***ing mental like. I'd have him back in a heartbeat.Apparently it’s double standards to criticise sportswashing when it’s Newcastle and also to criticise sportswashing when it’s Henderson.
Who knew.
Must have invented new UK tax rules according to NYM then.If he has not been paid anything by the Saudis in the fiscal year he was still subject to UK income tax on his worldwide earnings, and he is now leaving Saudi to live in the Netherlands, in what way would "UK tax rules" land him with a big tax liability as a consequence of going to Ajax? It's not the same thing. People slating the mags for taking Saudi money while giving Henderson a pass are the ones with moral double standards.
By the state? He's a footballer. He was paraded around in this country as a commodity.
I think you have to be out of the country for more than 6 months don't you? otherwise you have to pay some tax in the UK on your earnings, as you are probably still classed as a resident UK tax payer.Must have invented new UK tax rules according to NYM then.
Been working away must be nearly 50 years now and always followed the rules.
There isn't a tax treaty between Saudi and UK that I knaar of.I'm currently just ower the bridge in Bahwain and not liable for any UK tax like and neither are me muckers who do work ower the bridge.
He was paraded by his club not the state. The fact the state may own the club is nowt to do with him.By the state?
Old rules you were allowed to be in UK max of 93 days a year if you were classed as normally resident in the UK.I think you have to be out of the country for more than 6 months don't you? otherwise you have to pay some tax in the UK on your earnings, as you are probably still classed as a resident UK tax payer.
I might be wrong like.
