Tax.What a move...
Would have been class had he accepted a drop in pay and returned here. Unsure what the point of going to Ajax is.

Maybe his advisors are aware that a return to English football will inevitably result in him getting dogs abuse from the stands and rightly so.What a move...

I find that hard to believe mind. The Saudi league would be over before it even started if other players got wind that they don't pay up.![]()

Fucks his entire reputation for a quick pay day and comes back with less money than he went with. Absolute bellend.
It was his choice supposedly. To try and get round the UK tax rules.I find that hard to believe mind. The Saudi league would be over before it even started if other players got wind that they don't pay up.
He apparently asked for it to be deferred so as not to incur tax in the UK.I find that hard to believe mind. The Saudi league would be over before it even started if other players got wind that they don't pay up.
'kinell surely notHe apparently asked for it to be deferred so as not to incur tax in the UK.![]()
'kinell surely nothasn't had the best advice as he
For the record, the tax regime here in NL is significantly higher than in the UK. (Thats why the health system, transport , schools etc actually are in a reasonable state)Tax £££££
I assume because of how residency rules work? Different tax jurisdictions have different rules for how long you need to live there before tax is due on overseas income. No idea what those rules are in the Netherlands though. For the record, the tax regime here in NL is significantly higher than in the UK. For example I pay a blended 47% income tax
So I'm not sure I see how coming to NL helps him in terms of tax ??? Especially as the expat ruling is being removed.
Most of what you write is not correct. The issue would be UK tax rules. Get your facts right and get off the hate busI assume because of how residency rules work? I understand why he has deferred his Saudi salary payments to avoid UK tax on his first season there (another example of those wonderful values of his...). But if the Saudis end up welching on those payments, I don't see why he would be facing a big tax bill. Can't be taxed on money you weren't ever paid, surely?
Assuming there's any truth in these stories that is. All smells like PR to try and rebuild his "brand" after he shit the bed with the Saudi move if you ask me. Though I don't know why his advisers would think the public would have sympathy rather than schadenfreude for a millionaire footballer having his blood money withheld.
