Jordan Henderson compendium thread

He looks terrible in the photo the Sun used in the story of him leaving. Huge bags under his eyes and just looks ill tbh. I’d screen shot it and share on here…but not sure how to share media

Tax £££££
For the record, the tax regime here in NL is significantly higher than in the UK. (Thats why the health system, transport , schools etc actually are in a reasonable state)
For example I pay a blended 47% income tax
So I'm not sure I see how coming to NL helps him in terms of tax ??? Especially as the expat ruling is being removed.

I assume because of how residency rules work? Different tax jurisdictions have different rules for how long you need to live there before tax is due on overseas income. No idea what those rules are in the Netherlands though.

I understand why he has deferred his Saudi salary payments to avoid UK tax on his first season there (another example of those wonderful values of his...). But if the Saudis end up welching on those payments, I don't see why he would be facing a big tax bill. Can't be taxed on money you weren't ever paid, surely?

Assuming there's any truth in these stories that is. All smells like PR to try and rebuild his "brand" after he shit the bed with the Saudi move if you ask me. Though I don't know why his advisers would think the public would have sympathy rather than schadenfreude for a millionaire footballer having his blood money withheld.

Most of what you write is not correct. The issue would be UK tax rules. Get your facts right and get off the hate bus
